I don't know your faction's colour, to be honest. As for the others, two haven't decided and one is an Orbital Coalition of penguins and human beings.

Alright, well what if it's a rebellionthat started as an underground force then revealed itself during the anarchy that followed. Still loyal to the country, just not the government that was controlling it. Or would you perfer me just being invaders? BTW, when's the next update?

What you said is o.k, as well as what you put in your original story- as long as they have some reason to have conflict with AQUA despite them also being nationalist.

Ha, you are not the only one with that power, for my powers of fail are twice as powerful as yours will ever be! :mwaha:

And to Neveroneagame: I was thinking they could be a little more rebel-like than AQUA. If I understand right the AQUA forces want to keep the old order (whatever that is) and this team of rebels are locals who want to change the goverment but still want to be independant. That sound good?

EDIT: Though AQUA actually want a military dictatorship, not the old order, but presumably your forces reject it.

INCOMING TRANSMISSION:

The blip on radar turned out to be a giant UFO, much to everyone's surprise. As it arrived from the north at supersonic speed, the Red flakker unit under command of Charles Li fired a few shots, to no effect. The UFO suddenly halted over the mountains at G2 and unleashed a beam of destruction, which is believed to have destroyed whatever was there. The UFO is now climbing again and seems to be preparing to leave.

A few robots were seen to have escaped the destruction, and are still randomly wandering the countryside. They have not attacked any Gold (NAO) forces or the Anarchists.

RED forces led by Matt0088 quickly overran the city at E4 after outflanking the Anarchist defenders. The Anarchist Humvee squad was annihilated in the crossfire. Anarchist troops attempted to reinforce the city but were forced to turn back.

The attack on the airfield at F5 was not so successful. Fighting dragged on, the flak vehicles remained dug-in and put out a hail of fire. Reinforcements of more light tanks tried to reach the battle, but have only just arrived after a long drive from Red HQ, not to mention being distracted by the giant UFO to the south.

Anarchist soldiers in the port at B4 declared independence, becoming known as the ORANGE army. More troops were recruited, and they were able to overrun the airfield at C5 after a deadly firefight.

Disorganised Anarchist forces fled in the direction of the Imperial Capitol at E6, while trying to avoid being caught between the advancing Red and Orange forces.

There were rumours of assassination plots and conspiracies in the AQUA (nationalist) high command, but otherwise all seemed quiet in the north-west. Aqua troops dug-in and reorganised while fearsome heavy artillery was brought in from the north. The cease-fire with the Anarchists seems to be holding.

However, things were not totally quiet - a small Anarchist uprising began to gather recruits the mountains at B10.

GREEN forces bravely stormed the city at G7, with MooseWarrior leading from the front. The Anarchist gunboat again opened fire, and inflicted casualties on the advancing soldiers. The Anarchists in the city itself put up fierce resistance, but couldn't hold back the overwhelming two-prong attack.

The fleeing Anarchists attempted to blow the bridge at G6 - an explosion occurred but only seems to have weakened the bridge.

SPECIAL: Green forces took possession of an Anarchist submarine that had been lying abandoned near the shore. They also found strange containers inside - should they be opened now, thrown overboard, or taken back to HQ for study?

GOLD forces decided to hold their ground and repair their damaged gunships at the front. This was made easier by the repair robots which Gold forces had somehow captured previously. However they still had to face Anarchist threats on three sides, as well as the danger of rogue battle robots wandering the land.

Fortunately, the appearance of the UFO and the massive explosion in the distance caused as much panic to the Anarchists as it did to Gold forces.

Gold missile artillery advanced on H4 and continued to blast Anarchist positions. But without backup and exposed to enemy fire, the unit suffered more damage itself.

Following good treatment of local refugees, enough volunteers were gained to assemble a new trooper squad at Gold HQ.

Gold troops were able to capture the Anarchist transport ship anchored near Gold HQ.

Some of the monstrous crab-like creatures harnessed by Green army seem to have gone rogue and attacked the Gold humvee squad at J8, causing some panic as the unit was trying to rest and repair.

SPECIAL: a team of mercenaries has arrived in Soldia looking for employment. They are said to be skilled in sabotage, evasion, infiltration and assassination. They will accept offers starting at $1 for 3 turns of duty.

WARNING: A large robotic war machine has been seen patrolling the streets of the Imperial Capitol at E6. Its combat effectiveness is unknown, but is believed to be at least equal to a full heavy tank squad. It is also rumoured that the Anarchists have a few other tricks left…

The rule about two vehicles per square has been upheld. You may find vehicles shuffled around to prevent 3 vehicles being parked on the same square.

@Popcornlord, you only started with $4 (I did mention that somewhere) so you could only buy two troopers. But you also got the anarchist trooper who was already on your starting square, so you ended up with 3 troopers anyway :salute:

Hmm I dont like the idea of upgrading. But you could scrap units for some random amount of their $ value (obviously less if they are damaged).

The Transmission
Radat looked at the now calm seas. The octopus was gone, but that didn't mean his mind was calm. There were other factors he would have to deal with...

It seemed that other things were at work then the mere Five (now Six) Armies. He would have thought the Orbital Coalition had a better idea what was going on, but the analyists at Headquarters believed this was not the case.

In a world of war, information was key. This Seventh (perhaps Eighth, counting whoever supplied the robots) power was apparently stronger then any of them. Nobody had known they had existed, so it was speculated they had some sort of Prime Directive- but it was already broken now.

What he was about to do was a risk, but one worth taking. The transmission was unauthorised, but could give him valuable data. He was just lucky his family had "bought" a local mansion in the area.

He waited suspencefully, as the servants set up the transmission. The message was sent...

What? I get little troops, a bad start (I'm surrounded by superpowers) and now less money? Fine, I'll figure a way out of this. I guess that's what I get for starting a new team.
Alright, first I want the trooper in my HQ to attempt to communicate with the
nature-worshiper mystics in C2. Tell them of our nature-loving peaceful ways and attempt to negotiate for them to be at least allies. (I could imagine mystics would make good allies) If nessesary go there. (If he leaves one trooper from the airport should come back so my HQ isn't defenseless)
The other soldier in the airport should attempt similar negotiations with the anachist group to the south. Offer money. Don't go there if it fails.
Everyone who can digs in at end of turn
2$ for mercenaries, unless if one of those is needed for the anarchists. No other purchases.
