I'm trying to run the mac version on my macbook (OS X Leopard). Everytime I try to start the game I keep getting a message:
DrawSprocket cannot switch to the requested resolution (640x480, 16 bit 1 buffer(s))
Make sure your computer meets the display requirements specified in the read me file.
This is what the read me file says regarding resolution: Choose a screen resolution for Civ III. The higher the screen resolution, the more of the map you will see, but the highest resolutions require a more powerful graphics card. At very high resolutions the interface elements will be quite small, as well. Find the right balance for you.
Does anybody know what to do?
The only thing I can think at this moment is that my macbook may have outdated the game. I'm pretty sure something can be done.
