Headline LA Times:

President Ambrose Works for the People of UCC!

President Howard Ambrose signed two new bills into law today. The voting rights act of 1927 will guarantee that every UCC citizen over 18 years old will have the opportunity to vote in all elections. This, in combination with the new literacy initiative will make UCC one of the best educated electorates in all the world. Even adults are flocking to participate in the local "learn to Read" programs.

The second bill adjusts the year's budget to shift funds from contingencies and some less than effective foreign aid programs to the education budget to pay better teachers more money. This will attract the best and brightest citizens into education and emphasize the importance of staying in school and learning all you can.

In other LA news, Philo Farnsworth’s showed off his Image Dissector camera tube by transmitting an image (of a window) across a room by some secret, patented formula. No wires were used. Mr. Farnsworth has high hopes for this invention, but most people see little practical use for such a device. The Hollywood movie industry sent a representative to see the demonstration and he left early howling with laughter at the silliness of it all. William Gates II of the a Seattle law firm was quite taken by it though and invested $500 on the spot. That brought quite laugh from the crowd.

ZEPPELINS: Despite the invention of the Airplane in the United States, miliatary thinkers never saw it as an effective weapon and therefore it was never developed into anything worth mentioning. However Zeppelins were heavily improved, armored and became safer. The Zeppelin rule the skies both in commercial transportation and military use.

I think I've mentioned more then once that I absolutely adore Zeppelins.
