Announcement for the Royal Dutch navy by Admiral Faas Agie-Gjilsen
As many of our friends and allies know, the naval construction yard at Amsterdam has been working for the last three years on the rapid expansion of the Dutch navy. The completion of five Dutch cruisers, the Dirksz, the Ettienne, the Anne-Wiselmz, the Annika and the Saskia, are all state of the art and have greatly increased Dutch naval power.
Therefore, with the combined expansion of the Pacific merchant fleet we would like the world to take note of the increase in naval power and for the Dutch naval status to be set as a Medium naval power. Seeking to explore the world and expand her colonial wealth, the navy remains essential to the vitality of the Dutch empire.
The new Dutch ships have all been personally christened by King Wilhelm van Oranje X, and have been set to sea in the North Sea and the Friesland islands.
The Dutch look forward to securing peace in the world and the expansion of the European powerbase.
Announcement for the current and future Dutch trade partners as dictated by Beatrix DeKuyper
Any nation who seeks to trade with the wealthy Dutch empire and seek posessessions that she controls will have to firstly embargo the aggressive nation of Egypt. This also includes our current trading partners, as all trade will CEASE if the nation does not comply to our demands.
This is sent to encourage the world to stand up for what is right. Sometimes we all need a little nudge, or in this case shove, in the right direction.

Wilhelm van Oranje had finally calmed down his appetite and thinned out a little. He stood, playing Golf in Amsterdam, with his trade minister Beatrix DeKuyper, Admiral Faas Agie-Gjilsen, Economic advisor Rikard Pytrik, and military advisor General Hans Fraidjul.
Gold had been in Amsterdam for quite some time, and as it became more popular a small personal course was made. It was the first time anyone had been out since its completion, and the top five most important people in the coutnry would be the ones to play it.
All of the other men could not stop their continuous grumbling about being beaten so badly by Beatrix, who lead with a mere 6 strokes.
But all was not fun and games at the golf course. While it did provide a nice backdrop to a meeting, the meeting remained the forefront.
As Beatrix hit another spectacular shot that landed squarely on the green, Wilhelm called back his avisors for a small sicussion.
"I don't like the idea of an alliance with so many aggressive powers," Beatrix began. "Trade and peace are vital to the economy, and a war against Britain could completely and utterly destroy our merchant and military fleets."
"Ah, screw the bloody Brits," Hans began. "They're puny and improperly lead. They can't even win in a tiny coutnry like Afghanistan, for god's sake."
"But what if the Belgians intervene?" Rikard began. "We all know we could use that land, and its rather wealthy. I doubt the majority of Europe would protest it--we ruled over them once, why not now?"
"The Belgians have a larger army than us," Wilhelm noted. "The Germans will be tied down in Scandinavia and won't be able to help us. We could be completely overrun."
Beatrix thought a moment. "I say that instead of chasing after Britain, we agree with Italy to take Egypt. Personally I'd favor owning the bloody place than to let those radical morons get away with reinstating a vengeful leader, and we should get a good share of money. I'd also wager they'd let us keep the North, as they could link Sudan to Ethiopia without our colonies getting in the way."
Much like the argument, Beatrix won the game. She seemed to bring a breath of fresh air to the stuffy old Dutch government, as one of the few female politicians in the world.

To: Chancellor Otto von Bismarck
Unfortunately in all reasonable light the Dutch government cannot accept a "Central Alliance" with the powers listed. We are completely unwilling to list ourselves into a war against Britain with such aggressive powers. You may have your way, but in this matter the people of the Netherlands cannot support you.
However. We believe we can make an offer so that we can as soon as possible. Were German troops to assist us in taking Egypt, the Dutch economy would be boosted. Also, German commanders could train our soldiers fighting there to make them seasoned troops prepared for war against such a power as Britain. Should this take place, the Netherlands would undoubtedly join you.
To: Emperor Meiji
The Dutch are sadly not interested in signing any papers that would get them involved in war at this point. We still have quite a bit of work to do before we can be taken seriously as a world power, and simply cannot align ourselves for the present.
We do however wish you the best of luck in your endeavors.
To: Italian Prime Minister Lazianni
We will happily assist you in routing the threat that Egypt presents to both our nations, but instead we conquer it. The Netherlands is interested in aquiring mainland Egpyt, and we presumed you would agree, seeing as you could easily couple your Ethiopian colony with new lands taken in the Sudan.
Please, let me know if you are interested.
