That's on the SNES too!
The SNES passed me by as we got a Sega Mega Drive at the time. I had a NES before that, and I'll vote for that simply based on the brilliance that was Super Mario Bros. 3![]()
There are no NES emulators?If I want SNES I can always just emulate with the Wii;
And the NES is a specimen of pure physical perfection?as a physical console it's nothing special.

Well, what would you rather have, a NES or a SNES?

The thing missing from the NES emulators is the experience of the NES controller
That's cos you don't have a SNES!I have an NES that gets more use than the PS2 and the N64 and the DS combined.
They have doodahs that let you play NES games on the SNES! Also SNES controllers were the best controllers of any console. They were the pinnacle of perfection, nothing more was needed, and nothing less would do.The thing missing from the NES emulators is the experience of the NES controller. You haven't beat Zelda if you don't have Nintendo thumb when you're done.
I've seen sexier things at the bank.And yeah, the console itself is pretty sexy.
My officemate just turned an old NES console into a computer. Right now, it works when hooked up to a normal monitor. His end plan (not quite there yet) is to have it hooked up to a TV and use a controller instead of a mouse to control things on the screen.
@Nylan: That's just nostalgia talking! They're both just cartridge consoles.

Exactly why SNES consoles are better!!!!!!!!!!Without the pain caused by hours of tightly squeezing a non-ergonomic plastic rectangle, you'd never know when to go outside.
For my last project in Sculpture way back when in college I made 7 bronze casts of NES controllers. I had to go to Gamestop and buy some used ones for the molds (they still had them!).
I got a C. But it was fun and I still have these hefty 5 lb bronze, shiny controllers! I love 'em. They look slightly warped however as I am no Leonardo Da Vinci. I may post some pics of them when I get home.
If that doesn't make me a huge nerd, I don't know what does.
