Real controllers have curves.

Indeed, the best controllers have curves.

SNES, but I have a bias since I played that earlier in my life. Anyways, Mario Kart, LttP, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Mario World... all are still some of my favorite games.

It's fairly simple - NES controllers are more masculine therefore LucyDuke likes them. SNES controllers are more feminine therefore most of the males here defend them.

Nope, I've almost never used either as I didn't have either system, and voted solely on my perception of the quality, success, and influence of the games and each system on the future of the industry.

A NES, of course. I even had the NES "multi-tap" back in the day. If I want SNES I can always just emulate with the Wii; as a physical console it's nothing special.

Let's see:

If I keep the NES, then I have to blow/clean the connectors about every other day to get the games to run (and without numerous graphical glitches).

If I keep the SNES, I can expect 5-year old games to run when I put them in.

Tough choice.

If that's your logic, scrap both and buy a Wii.

I guess he couldn't handle the graphics.

Another vote for NES, then? ;)

I gotta vote for the NES as the SNES was more or less unavailabe where I lived and everyone had Sega. Consoles owned.
Atari 2600, NES, Sega Master System, Sega Mega Drive, Mega CD, PS1, Saturn, PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS3, Atari Lynx, Gameboy Advance, PSP.

I still own all of them apart from the Saturn and maybe the PS1.

Best way to clean them is to wash them in warm water. No soap though, that will damage them.

I used rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. Worked like a charm.
