NES World/Regional Maps Requests Thread

A present, M. Das.

Unfortunately, you will need to create Australia and South Africa. :p

Huzzah, England back on top. Now THAT'S a language I can speak! :p

Persia and Venezuela are also the same color. Never liked it when that happens. :\

Panda its a great map! However Russian-Indian(-Chinese) border needs to be fixed. It just doesn't feel right..... (Russia never had a border with India. That was the intent of having an Afghan state for the Brits).
Sakalin is only half-Japanese.
Also please recolor A-H.[/endfeedback]

Yeah, I liked the off-white Austria-Hungary had in... err... don't remember. Something.

Ah, yeah: stazNESVIII Austria-Hungary White. Was a decent color choice, IMO.

Vive la Panda! :D

Agree with most complaints, and could add some other criticism (Persian Baku, strange Hungarian borders - partly the fault of my NES2 VI map with its vaguely-placed Slovakia), but the most important things are done correctly, and the rest is easily-fixed. Thanks!

On the matter of shared colors, Paraguay and Belgium, Nicaragua and Romania, and Chile and Nepal also share colors. It's sort of obvious that they're not linked, but it'd be best to change it anyway, just incase.

Okay, here's a fix of the Panda map (changed borders, added colonies and dominions, and switched colours around a bit). Still far from perfection, especially in Africa, but...

Honolulu is on the wrong island, Chicago is not shown despite being larger than nearly every American city depicted, and the geography of the map is outdated (no revisions to the Mississippi delta, Bahamas, and Galapagos, no Isle of Youth, and no Irawady). The map, however, is quite extraordinary all in all.

Well, as said, it is a very good base with which we could work, adding all those lesser changes that may be required.

Great map. Now I can finally use it to draw random things as it actually has borders!

Since, I'm looking into starting a Fantasy NES at some point. I'd like a random map of a world of islands (No continents just Islands). The largest of the islands should have some mountains and rivers too. So, I'm looking for something along the lines of the world of Earthsea.
I took Eric's map and cleaned it up. Is this better?

From what I recall about Earthsea, there should only be one or two islands that size, and everything else should consist of smaller islands and archipelagos.

That is easy to change if Reno wants more smaller islands. the hard part was getitng rid of the color form Eric's map. BTW, Gimp is great!

If that is what he wants, then he should use it. Just drop in white and erase the words and its is done.
