I know I'm not a NESer, but I hope people won't mind this request, for a NES-like thing. Don't worry, I'm not going to start a NES of my own, being so new. 
Also, I hope 5 days isn't a big bump, right? If it is, sorry.
I made a map of Europe, heavily modifying one I found on a site. The coastlines don't get more accurate than this, it's impossible, I think. But I have a request: I recolored all the rivers on that map, but I'd need more! Can anyone put here the Dniester, and maybe some rivers in Scandinavia and Turkey (which don't have any...)*? Shouldn't take long...

Edit: And maybe Tisa/Tisza and Prut too?

Very nice mapwork, the only problem is the only colors I can get on there are blacks and blues but the solution to that is simple.
I would edit, hell I would make my own maps, if I knew how. Sadly, that's never really been my forte, along with drawing of any kind.

playing with it in paint right now.. its simple enough... the file was named "no lakes" i assume that means you don't want any?
Several places where the sea isnt close enough to the land.. did this use to be a black/white/grey map of europe coastline? scotlands a mess for example.. and several coastal islands don't have sea between them and land.. would you like me to deal with this also? will take less time than the rivers, without any internal borders i get lost easily and cant just distance!

No lakes means I removed them all as they looked horrible in Finland. I have a version with lakes too, but it looks less nice.
Sure, if you could take care of that, great. The original colors were a mess.
Not black/white/grey, the coastlines were black, the sea was grey, the land was some pinkish color, lighter in the north and darker in the south, and the rivers were standing out way too much as they were deep blue. 
That is why it has some small issues currently, color conversions. And ok, I'll consider joining a NES. Seems everyone is inviting me the really nice way. ;D

I want to do a little NES advertising. I will go to this Romanian computer forum, I'll start something very close to a NES in their forum games section, I've already spoken with about 10 members that say there are going to be hundreds interested in this (the site has over 60000 members, and much more active than CFC). In every thread and update I'm going to give links and examples from the Civ3 NES forum. And maybe I'll get some more players here. So it will be worth it.
I was thinking of doing something simple with it, and there's no danger to screw up there, as I know this better than anyone there. knigh+ : thanks.

First of all, thanks a lot for your work.
JPGification is not a problem. I can fix that in 2 minutes in Photoshop, especially in this case, when there aren't many colors.
However, the projection in the first one is very weird.
The British Isles look much, much bigger than they actually are and Spain is much smaller. The second one is great, really great, but it doesn't have many rivers... Actually I count at least 3 rivers that are on my map and aren't there. But then again, you said you're going to help with the coasts. Maybe rivers can be edited later.
Both are noticeably smaller than my map though.
Anyway, the second one is much better IMO. Thanks again.

The first one has an awkward projection, Iceland looks huge. And some of the rivers are half-missing (Danube and Sakarya are the ones I spotted).
The rivers I'll add (probably on the second map) are (Turish name/ancient name): Merich/Maritsa/Evros (480km), Gediz/Hermus (401km), Menderes/Maeander (560km), Sakarya/Sangarius (824km).

Make the second one. As I said too, the projection on the first one is very strange. British Isles are huge and the Iberian peninsula is way too small.
