Greetings. Yes, I bumped this thread, its an exercise in necromancy. I did it for three reasons:
a) MjM asked me to do it.
b) Many NESers still active today played in it, and some started with it. And I, myself, think this is the best NES I ever modded. I think I am obliged to revive this, for the sake of old memory, to once again remind ourselves of these glorious days.
c) Many new people came since the last nuke fell. I believe that they should read this too, and learn from mistakes and successes here. This is a piece of NES history now. I believe the people of the 6th and (hypothetical) 7th generations should know about it.

So I hope the FORUM mods don't mind. I worry not about NES mods minding, as they wouldn't dare, really.

Indeed, take these lessons to heart. Specifically, in my case, if the world is bipolar and two nuclear alliances are about to duke it out... Make sure you're neutral. The other way is too costly.

Great NES . Wow there happened so much here... I just reread some updates. At first the Meto war, later the war against the English, the black army and later the invasion and destruction of Brazil, and then somebody had to press the red button...

This was my first NES and it was by far the coolest.

Rather than continue this... why not a remake?

No remake or restart. Let it rest in peace, its best to remember it as it is (take a look at rtor2, it was revived so many times i forget which was the actual game, lol). Plus, it remains cooler, lol.

I've read this before, actually it was this NES that convinced to join the NESsing scene in the first place. Even though i was not part of this nes, it convinced me to give NESsing a try.

Especially since you WERE a part of a "neutral" alliance, but intended to intervenne on the side opposite to the one of the alliance leader.

How's that any different from an ORDINARY post-Nucler Armaggedon NES? Well, maybe the fact that a communist superstate still has a huge army that is fighting the DU remnants... But, sorry, even if someone continues it, I can't. After all, I already have ITNES on my hands, and, personally, I think I agree with Jason here. Let this rest in peace. This world was already tortured so much that there's hardly anything worse left.

Yes. By the end of the NES, btw, Brazil was about to erupt in a great rebellion degenerating into local fighting between government, amonist (followers of the ubertotalitarian political doctrine of Savar Amonov, Emperor of Balkania if I recall correctly) and communist forces.

If I recall correctly, "someone" started pressing the red button during Brazil, annihilating a huge White Helmets force. Already after the NES ended, erez said it stupid of Stalin to tell of all his secrets here - after all, "now we will all know what you plan to do next NES" (not exact wording, I think).

I don't. Especially as somewhere along the line it turned into an abstract nation of "Asia", which proceeded to break up leaving you with an enlarged Korea.

Hmm... Ever noticed the similarity between your "Asia" reform and the OTL Perestroika?

This was my first NES and it was by far the coolest.

And the first NES I modded after a year of absence, too. As I said, its my best one IMHO, I sometimes doubt I will ever make something quite as good.
