The First French Republic
OOC: I assume it's the first?

Speech by the first president Guillaume Leger to all people of France:

"For thousands of years the common man was controlled by King and Emperors. For thousands of years only the Kings ruled supreme. The common man words and wishes were neglected, he was but a mere slave to the wishes of his ruler. For thousands of years this system controlled nearly all of the lands in the world. Yet there was a place where the most of the common man were allowed to say their thoughts, their wishes. It was in ancient Athens, where the first democracy was installed. There the men were given the right to vote for what they think is best for their country, and for themselves. They could finally had a saying in matters of the state.

From Greece the idea continued into the city of Rome. Where the first republic was declared. This republic lasted for hundreds of years and in time ruled most of the Mediterranean until it was destroyed by a new emperor which took all the liberties of the common man and since than Europe knew no freedom. Not until this day.

This day is a new day. When the old monarch of France gave up on his homelands we did not agreed. France is for the French and not for the British. Yet instead of bringing many young men to their deaths in a useless war against the federated kingdoms, instead of destroying France even more we chose another way, the peaceful way. The common man made up his mind. We will bring peace and prosperity to France as the common man wishes. Yet there is still something blocking us all from being granted all the freedoms we wish for. A man named Patrice McMahon. He wish to take the power for himself! Ones an army leader in the army of the last king now wish the power for himself! Yes he want to save France, but France is saved! The federated Kingdoms troops are already leaving our homelands. He is not longer looking for saving France but for destroying it! He want French troops to fight against us, the common man of France and to bring all of France under his iron fist! Do we want another monarch? Do we want another ruler to rule us and cancel all our freedoms just for his own good? He say he want the good of France but doesn't that include the French troops being alive? He chose to fight against other French people only for his own power. We want the common man good. We want the French young men that make up our army in all 3 sides of the French civil war to live and continue their lives as they wish.

And with this I, Guillaume Leger, declare, in the name of all men, women, old and young of France, the formations of the First French Republic. I invite every available men who wish to defend his now found freedom, who wish to bring peace to France and end this nightmare that is the civil war to join the Republican Army and help bring a quick end to this war.
I call the troops under McMahon to lower their weapons. The war is over and the FK have retreated from France. We are not puppets of them but a national entity of our own ones again.


Power to the common man! Power to the people! Freedom shall rule the French homelands!"

and and dasssss don't train my armies :p I in mistake considered Paris trde center to be mine :) my mistake.
 
Paris under siege by French and Federated troops against French. Guillaume could not believe is eyes. His only hope in this battle was that as few people as possible would die, and that Paris will stay intact with all it's beauty. Oh the most beautiful city in all of the world was under siege, in the middle of a civil war. Guillaume could barley take it.. But he had to be strong, if only for his people. He had to be strong for all the French who wanted this nightmare to end. Ones Paris will fall McMahon will not have much left, and ones he will be defeated in eastern France this nightmare would end. And defeated he would be, Guillaume will make sure of this personally.


Guillaume Leger was born in 1810. He was a bright little kid who had very high marks in all his studies. After finishing his high school he went to learn in the Academy of Paris. He learned politics. He soon found the small republican movement of France. Being a bright young man he saw the republic movement as the best way for the French. He despised the idea of one man ruling a whole country only for his own good. How could the people of France or any other place accepted that way of life?

In the republican movement he moved quickly in the ranks and soon became number 2. Just a few years ago when McMahon defeated a small republican uprising the older leader of the movement was killed. Guillaume took over and with the invasion of the FK he found one way where the republic could take over France. He signed peace with the FK and received Paris and continental France in return. He instantly spread the idea of Republicanism into all of France but McMahon was not going to surrender now that the war ended. McMahon, from Guillaume perspective, became a threat to the freedom of the French people, who were the only thing Guillaume cared for. He truly was a good man looking for the best of France. Even now in the middle of a civil war he already begun to think of how the elections of a president for the republic will look like, how they will take place. He didn't even wanted to hear when his advisers suggested him to expand his grip on France. He didn't wanted the power of ruling France, only rule if for the rest of the people. His advisers of course... other very high ranked men in the republican party did not liked his “nice attitude”... They looked to strengthen their position.. even if it meant taking it by force from Guillaume...

Now only time will tell the future of the First French republic. Will Guillaume succeed in his plans to unify France and bring freedom to all? Or will McMahon succeed in taking over France and all power for himself? Or will another republican player take the rule from Guillaume? All is to be seen...
 
AGAIN - don't forget to add the treaties. Because some of you already did.

Gaahh!!! come on man how am I supposd to properly carry out my nefarious activities and atrocities with such a short time?
