No Chinese either ;) And speaking of barbarism... I forgot an important part in the story :( I wanted to have a sacrifice to the gods :(

YOU CANNOT STOP CHINESE PEOPLE! We will be sending a fleet to your shores to make sure no Chinese people are discriminated and segregated from your barbaric people. On the other hand, keep it that way. ;)

OOC:

The Chinese are welcome to come and visit and trade with us. However, the Gods allow only the children of Inti in their temples :p
Which should suit the Chinese well as they will be spared the boredom of our heathen rituals

In the meanwhile, Das, can i make up what my monarch is like?

You can, you can...

OOC: Er.. how has Capulet been treating the persians?

Persians? Did he treat them in ANY WAY at all?

Oops, i meant prussians

Anywho, a continuation of my previous story :)

-----------------------------------------------

“Sigmun- I mean your majesty, I still think this is a bad idea. You’re putting yourself at risk here! Why couldn’t we just gather them up the old fashioned way and present them to you?”

“Oh now, I’m perfectly safe here. With your reputation at catching assasins and making them wish they were born as another being, and a room surrounded by your finest men, what can happen?”

“A loose cannonball. Poison in the food. A hidden gun. Hidden throwing kni-”

“Are you sure you weren’t born to be a playwright instead, Yaniv? That imagination of yours could earn you quite a fortune. Do consider it when you choose to retire.”

“They’re not imaginations, your majesty, they’ve happened to monarchs in the past before, even you! Surely you still remember that army-training incident several years ago? Besides, I still don’t understand why this can’t be done within the safety of the palace.”

“We’ve been through this before, the poor soul just happened to misfired his cannon. Those cannons ARE quite new. Can’t blame the man for not handling it properly. Yaniv, if you were the leader of a reform party against absolutism, would you dare present yourself to the monarch?”

“Why not? I tell you what you should or shouldn’t do anyway. My head’s still on my neck the last time I checked.”

-A slight pause-

“Yaniv, if you were the leader of a reform party against absolutism in some other nation, would you dare present yourself to the monarch there? Keeping in mind that you have no clue what the monarch is like, so you’ll assume that they like to keep the power they hold.”

“But what’s the purpose in setting this meeting up? You already know what they wanted. Boleslav did a fine job gathering that for you, did he not?”

“Indeed he did. You picked a fine man for that task by the way. Still, you should know that it’s not enough that I know what these men wanted if we never talk face to face. A good monarch must present his face to the public. The benefits of such an action definitely outweigh the risks.”

“that’s what you think… you don’t have to deal with being paranoid of any assasins or rebel groups…”

“What was that you said?”

“Nothing, Sigmungt. Just promise me you’ll never pull something as crazy as that Chinese emperor. I’ll really retire and become a playwright like you said if you dare try that. It’s already dangerous enough here at home.”

“It’s ‘your majesty’ in the public, Yaniv. And yes, I’ll promise not to tour the opposite hemisphere. But never mind that, it seems our guests are awakening."

Tananarive Capital City of The Reborn Merina Kingdom

Andriamanalina had been the Asaina ( he, who gives orders ) of the famous Red Lemures, a large Rebell group which had recruited from all parts of the Malagasy people. Now he was an Recruiting Officer in the Royal Army of Merina. Dedicated to gathering more troops to protect his beloved motherland and his reverend Queen. The biggest Recruiting Center in the city had been established in a former French barrack, located near the central place of the city. The French had actually only occupied the former barrack of the old city guard, but nothing remembered of their presence. The French had eliminated everything which could remember the Malagasy people that they once were free people. Only the Queen had been left untouched - they had feared the wrath of the people. Well, this had ultimately been their downfall...

They would not do the same mistake again. Andriamanalina knew this. He knew that if the French soldiers would storm the palace they would search his Queen and kill her. This had to be prevented at all costs! In the days following the Rebellion the Royal Army had been formed. Consisting mostly of former rebells and those people who had been mobilized to overthrow the French rulers. Each Soldier and Officer had sworn to give his life to protect Queen and Country. For Andriamanalina this had been one of the most important moments in his life. While he was only a lowly rebell leader he no obligations at all. He had no family to support and the only thing that bound him to his group was his free will. Now he had the obligation to defend his nation from all enemies. And he was proud! He had been part in overthrowing the enemy! He had achieved something and although his name would not appear in some history book he still knew that at least his friends would remember him and his family. And possible even the following generation. They would hear stories about Grandfather Adriam, who stormed the Colonial Prison and rescued thousands of Malagasy "insurgents" from torture and illness. Then they would tell how he kicked the fat butt of the French Prison Governor and the children would laugh at this sight. That was all that Asaina Andriamanalina needed.

But first the Kingdom had to fight the French counter attack.

He looked at the colum of young wanne-be soldiers. Yes they looked very motivated. Why shouldn't they? After all the casualties in the first days of the Rebellion had been minimal. They hadn't seen any real horror. They had not seen true war. Adriamanalina had not been in any large scale battle either. But he and his rebell group had been hunted by the colonials for years and they had been forced to hide deep into the jungle to evade the enemy patrols. He had lost many friends in these years. Would these young men endure such stress? Or would they break and flee in face of the enemy? He could not tell. Some of the men looked like weaklings who wouldn't even leave their homes when the enemy was already knocking on the door. But others.. you could see in their eyes that they were fighters. A hot flame was burning in their insides and they were eager to serve their nation. If correctly formed these men would be able fight the French Elite, the Garde Imperiale. They might be better armed and disciplined, but who could overcome a force which was determined to protect their newly gained freedom? They would fight together with the nation. The Hills would give them cover and the Wilderness would give them food. Yes, these men could protect the Queen. And he would be with them to guide them. He would give his best to keep them alive.

Oops, i meant prussians

He was encouraging the polonization of the province of Prusy, most notably by granting land there to poor Poles. Prussians were reasonably upset. Oh, and many of them fled west afterwards.

OOC: That's indeed not very nice

Especially considering that those Prussians who fled into HRE keep whispering in their kitchens that the Kaiser is the Antichrist (brings back any memories, Finn? ;) ).

Dont you ever sleep das?

I'm sorry to do this, and to let so many people down, but I think for the time being I must take a break from this NES and NESing as a whole. Therefore, das, I ask that you NPC me for the time being, and handle France as you'd think I would. (meaning, dont let those Mexicans go :p) However, should another capable player wish to take France (A player which knows most of my plans. I think Thayli would be a worthy successor, but then again I dont think he'd want to take up the mantle of the great Empire.) then by all means they should be allowed to take France.

Again, I'm sorry - this was a great NES, and you are a great mod, but I have become overwhelmed with school and extracurricular activities. I'll still keep an eye on this one though.

A bientot! ;) :)

Ach, yes. Those Prussians are wrong, though, there can be only one antichrist. And we both know who that is, don't we!;)

There is no chance what so ever that the Gaelic rebellion will survive, and if Kalthazar moves to France now there will be plenty of tensions to continue between me and him, which will make life a lot of fun. So I would say that either Kal or Thlayli should take France.

 The French Player has to be formidable to keep peace in the French Empire. And I don't think Thlayli would waste all his time spent on Persia just to switch nation to France. Unless we conquer Persia of course :p
