Check the pressure on those valves Orhan, keep it low. Ahmed shouted over the whistles. He gripped the handle of the pressure lever, and began to pull it, moving it slowly inch by inch. come on push harder, Mesa! Get over here and help me
One of the many textile factory in Constantinople, now being run by Orhan, the owner of Steam Innovators Co. The take over had been smooth, though the workers were a bit scared of Orhan and his rather large company (considering his company was the second largest in the Ottoman Empire) , however, they had warmed up to him in the past 4 months, since he was the only owner who actually worked in the factories and knew anything about anything that had to do with steam. His father had been the one to start his company, after making an improved version of the steam engine that allowed it to haul twice as much for only half the coal.
Thats ok, keep that pressure around that level for now, if it gets any higher, lower it by 1/3, and wait for it to stabilize then increase it by 1/5 every 3 minutes, it should stretch the pipes some more so we can take more heat and pressure in the main valves.
Mr. Orhan, someone is here to see you a young boy said from behind him.
Whats that? Ah yes he is here, good good, alright boys remember, 1/5 every 3 minutes Orhan took off his gloves and whipped the sweat from his brow before opening the door that led out of the steam room. A gentleman in royal attire (only worn by high government officials) stood in front of him, he looked normal, except he wore a rather large top hate and held a can in his hand. Orhan smirked and held out his hand in greeting, the gentleman shook it firmly.
Good Afternoon Mr. Orhan, how do you do the man said with a rather strange accent.
Im fine, I assume you are here about the deal?
Indeed I am, but first let me introduce myself, I am Mehmed Ahmed of the Foreign Trade Relations Department. As you may already know Osman IV is giving grants to the major companies in the Ottoman Empire.
Indeed I am aware of that, come then, lets have a seat then Orhan led the gentleman into his near by house (which wasnt very big, but rather homely) and motioned to a seat on the porch. so what are the details of this grant?
Well you will be given funds to help setup a national railroad system. Of course you will be working with other companies in the country.
Of course Orhan said with a smirk
You and all the other companies shall meet on 13th April of this year at the Department of Transport. And Osman IV shall be there himself.
This is more than a national railroad system isnt it Orhan narrowed his eyes on Mehmed who only smirked.
Good afternoon Mr Orhan, I expect to see you there on the 13th, preferably at 9:00am sharp if you please, again, good afternoon the man took off his top hat and bowed low before straightening up and walking towards the main road.
A rather strange man
