NES2 VI - Last Semblance of Order.

Byzantium believes that Ottoman imposition of terms is blatantly imperialist and protests their involvment in a conflict with which the Empire has nothing to do. Abyssinia and Sennar are having their own little war: let them stay in it without foreign intervention. Widening a war with your troops will only make the situation worse, not better.

It is not imperialistic, we are supporting our ally, who is on the defensive. Our influence is as a supervisor and advisor. Our suggestions of military involvement are simply to convince the aggressors that we are made of more than words.

This Treaty is to ensure peace in the future, not to increase the worldwide imperial standing of the Ottomans.

If the Byzantines support the Abyssinians simply because of Christianity, or because they dislike seeing the Ottoman Empire doing anything productive, then they can feel free to admit it.

An undisclosed source says that the Ottos ought to be able to help their puppet if they want. :p

Sennar is a puppet of Ottoma and well within Ottoman sphere of influence, so bugger off

King Badi IV signs the treaty and hopes that peace between african nations will be longer lasting

This matter does not consider you Ottomans. I was vein enough to withdraw in the last war. But I do say that we will not be turned back from our destiny again. To withdraw would let all the death of such great Christians all be in vein. I will not withdraw from the land won. Those are now official Abyssanian Lands. They will remain in my hands, so if you want to avoid this war going on anylonger you better come up with a better treaty. Because today the fish ain't biting.

And let me remind you It has been the corrupt rule of such a procrastinator as the King that caused this downfall. It was he who neglected the people. He brought such a rebellion upon himself. These are time of enlightment and moving forward. Humanity has always been doing this. This war is the next step for Africa in this endless journey. Abyssania acted upon the needs of the people who were being subjugated by cruelty. I am ready to crush this government, but I still believe in rights and may be benevolent enough to grant Muslims freedom of worship, but your ruler has done little for my peoples freedom. Now don't let the rags of such insolence grace my court until a just treaty is written up. Sir you are dismissed.

@NK: That was the last NES2.

@ Ottomans: We are a bit miffed at your suggestion that we are doing this to keep you from being productive. We do not recall ever being against a productive Ottoman empire...But, we do support the Abyssinians partly because of Christianity, and partly because we believe that it would be wrong for you to intervene, morally in any case. If you wish to fight the Abyssinians because your puppet in the south is failing, we will try to negotiate you away from such a course. There is no reason that the war should widen. If you wish to do so, and simply beat up on smaller countries, then you are treading into territory that we can simply not allow you into.

OOC: You're just a fifth-grader beating up on the kindergarteners who are having a little thumbwar. For Pete's sake, knock it off. Let them have their war. Don't widen the conflict. I really don't want a war.

@NK: So we have what...6-7 turns to prepare for the war to end wars - based on the course of NES2V?

Nah. Not quite that long... I'm guessing more like 5 turns. :p Mainly because we have the hot blooded ones in control right from the start, instead of my moderating influence (<--egotistical statement, please do not take it seriously; I'm never serious in my egotistical statements. Especially since I started a war on turn two in that NES. :p).

@NK: That was the last NES2.

Um... I know?

I was in it. :p I was referring to the actual origin of the phrase, albeit applying it to a different continent.

The Ottomans are protecting their ally. It's not at all unusual, or bullying.

Well, what if I protect...mine?

wow, talk about blown out of proportion

Well you were treading on thin ice the second you trusted your sworn enemy. I mean seriously. In our backgrounds we are incouraged to fight eachother! So take this war like a man and except defeat. Don't be the kid who rats out all the other kids to the teacher. In the end the other kids always get revenge when the teacher isn't looking:mischief:

i trust to much, but then again, i make up my mind to quickly

screw you wubba :p
p.s. please don't reply to this cause ill get angrier so yea... i dun wanna get warned!

I really don't want a war.

Then don't get into this.

To: Abyssinia
From: Ottoman Empire

We will give your situation some thought. While we do not want war, we will aid Sennar if this war continues.

OOC: I did say that the treaty could be negotiated by you. It's just a jumping off point.
