FROM: The Holy Roman Empire [of the French Nation]
It has come to the attention of both the Holy Roman Empire, and the Byzantine Empire, the dire state which Romania is currently in - a state which has been caused, in no small part, by the irresponsible policies of its leaders - policies which have lead to the ruination of the Romanian economy, and the destruction of the Romanian peoples' faith and pride in their government. Therefore, in order that the situation does not degrade further, we announce, alongside the Byzantine Empire, the requirement for a strong peace-keeping force within the country, a peace-keeping force which can properly restore order, and end the terrible crisis afflicting the Romanian people.
We, as a free nation, will not tolerate the degradation of livelihood which is afflicting those in Romania, and we will not tolerate an irresponsible government which spends recklessly, destroying itself from within. We do not care if the Romanian government claims itself an ally. We will not tolerate an ally which directly harms its own people. Thusly, we announce our intention of establishing a peaceful and free Romania, and thusly, we announce our deployment of a peace-keeping force within the region, with the aid of our allies, the Byzantine Empire. This peacekeeping force is to be deployed until such a time when Romania is stablised, and when the Romanian people are given back their voice and dignity. We ask that you, members of the international community, support us in our cause.
We cannot allow this tyranny to continue. Let it be known that we cease all ties with the current Romanian Government, and let it be known that we are, unless the government willfully abdicates, in a state of war - a war for the rights of the Romanian people.
Signed,
Emperor Valerian I
