A Doctrine of Chipism​

The crowd gathered round Rolão Preto and the Irisher by his side. These were the legends, the leaders, the creators. The thousands present were just part of the large movement called "The Many" or O Muitos. But more contemporary historians call them the Chipists. They were followers of the theory put forth by Herbert Chip, Chipism[1]. This was a day of celebration and also of mourning. The loss of the South Sea Company was a loss but not a major one. Besides, the SSC was far to corrupt denying the state all together. These were pure Chipists. As the Doctrine says "In an era of Egalitarianism, Parlimentarianism[2], Scelero-Monarchy[3], and Democracy, there is hope. Hope for a new era of authority, an era tending to the 'right', a Chipist Era. If this was an era of the individual, we are free to believe that this is the 'collective' era, and therefore the century of the State."

For Chipism was all that. A rightist beleif. It is a theory marked by Authoritarianism, militarism, radical nationalism, subscribing to Sintonian Corporativism, and spread by the fear of the Egalitarians. Herbert Chip defines Chipism as being a right-wing collectivistic ideology in opposition to Egalitarianism, Parlimentarianism, Scelero-Monarchy, Democracy, and individualism.

And now the Many prepared for their march, for their protests. Rolão Preto was on the stage, pumping his fist and getting the crowd riled up! They were chanting slogans "Doutrina e Arma fazer o perfeito Circuito integrado", "Comprido Viver Sacrifício", "Salvar a condição", and finally "Acreditar , Obedecer , Batalhar".

"Acreditar , Obedecer , Batalhar" was their cue. They took to the streets. The time drew nigh for the end of O Corrupto Rei!!!!

[1] Chipism is Italian Fascism. The theorizers aren't Italian so I renamed it.

[3] Criminal Monarchies, or bascially Monarchies they don't agree with.

OOC: NEVER! Well actually, the Philospher's name was Herbert Chip...... Herbertism doesn't have the same ring. I almost called it Stateism, but thought that would get confusing. If its really that bad i can change it

I know, i'm unorignal. Its my vice. Its just that Chip is such a cool word. I love it. But from now one, i will try to not use it so much. But Chipism is staying Chipism.

Just a little mathematical note here, the Chip-like Names:Catastrophic Failures ratio is running at about 1:1, for reference.

Not to say it couldn't be a brilliant success, though.

OOC: Atomic destruction. I don't know exactly what to make of this since they seem to be speaking Portuguese and saying "Doctrine and arms to make the perfect integrated circuit."

That mostly reaffirms my first point about atomic weapons. At this moment, I'm hoping it's so utterly bad it just collapses without any external input though.

Late Industrial is still early WWI type tech so we're still a good bit away from that, though we do have biological and chemical weapons now it would seem.

OOC: Actually, I was saying dumb ideas should be punished by being nuked from high orbit. Electrocution is far too tame and prone to failure.

I wouldn't be opposed to swiss naming everything "Chip" if Chip wasn't possibly the most ******** thing to name everything.
