From: The Islamic Caliphate
To: The Holy Roman Empire (of the French Nation)

We thank you for your recognition, and acknowledge Imperial supremacy over the Sinai and the Canal. We would appreciate unrestricted passage of troops through the area, however, in return for the (re)opening of the port of Alexandria to Holy Roman shipping.

Hmm, losing steam?

Well, my goal in this NES is to raise Canada to a society meeting my better ideals, and I seem to be meeting them.

Though it's only a few more turns left in this NES, unless the great powers turn on each other... :mischief:

I'd hope this to go on a while actually. Events are turning interesting in the UK.

OOC: Ya'll really need to keep your traps shut about this being dead, because last I checked, World War II hadn't ended, and quite a lot has yet to be settled. In short: SILENCE, DOOMSAYING PLEBIANS!

THE TREATY OF TURKU
- 1787 ANNO DOMINI -

ARTICLE I
The casualties of the war, being so great on either side, shall warrant no payment of reparations. Neither the Parliamentry Republic of Russia, its allies, or the Holy Roman Empire and its allies, shall seek any form of economic payment from either side of the conflict.

ARTICLE II
The former Russian Union, now the Parliamentry Republic of Russia, shall accept the responsibility of the Second Great War. The rationale for Russian responsibility shall be as thus: Russia, through its invasions of the Union of Krakow, its massive military build up, and through its attempts to "liberate" the peoples of Romania and Hungary, has proved that it has not only instigated the great conflict of the era, but it had been planning on such for several years in advance. Therefore, due to such belligerence, even before the beginning of actual hostilities, it is declared that the government of the former Russian Union is entirely responsible for the Second Great War, and thusly all casualties which were suffered from such war.

ARTICLE III
The former Russian Union, now the Parliamentry Republic of Russia, shall agree to forever disavow the aid of terrorists, egalitists, nations which the allied powers are at war with or any other organizations which have the stated intent of weakening any of the Allied powers.

ARTICLE IV
The former Russian Union, now Parliamentary Republic of Russia, as shown by its belligerent conduct before and during the Second Great War, and as shown by its rapid military expansion conducted with the sole purpose of offensive war, can no longer be trusted with complete freedom in the size and structure of its armed forces. Thusly, the Russian military is to be limited - the Army to be restricted to 80 Divisions, the Navy to 10 Squadrons, with no Capital Ships or ships above 10,000 tonnes to be allowed into the force. The Air Corps, finally, shall be restricted to a total of 20 Squadrons. Furthermore, the Russian Military shall be limited to no more than 50% more than the total of its professional military force for the size of a strategic reserve in the face of any national emergency. Russian creation of secret military units shall be considered a violation of the treaty, and thusly proactive measures would be taken by the signatores of this treaty.

ARTICLE V
The former Russian Union, now the Parliamentry Republic of Russia, shall agree to forever disavow the use of weapons biological, chemical, or otherwise conventional in its conduct of warfare in the future. Additionally, the Russian Military shall agree to the use of military force only in conditions of immediately defense, and not offensive warfare or pre-emptive defense of any kind. Any warfare conducted by the Russian Union which is not defensive in nature shall result in the violation of this treaty and thus the continuation of hostilities between the Allied powers and the Russian Government.

ARTICLE VI
The former Russian Union, now the Parliamentry Republic of Russia, shall agree to relinquish the following territories to the Allied powers as dictated below:

VIa.) The removal of a Russian presence from Eastern Europe. The Russian Government shall agree to relinquish the regions of Ukraine, Lithuania, and the remaining Black Sea coast in the Cacausus region. The Russian Government shall no longer maintain any control over ports in the Black Sea, and thusly, shall no longer maintain any naval presence in the region. Furthermore, the Russian Government shall relinquish control of the former Kingdom of Georgia, which shall be created anew as a Krakowian dependency.

VIb.) The removal of a Russian presence from Central Asia. The Russian Government, having only claimed the areas of Kazahkstan and Muslim Central Asia through force, not having ethnic or cultural control of the region, shall relinquish the region to the Kandid Shahdom of Persia.

VIc.) The removal of a Russian presence from the Baltic coast, Novgorod, and the Barents Sea. The Russian government shall relinquish the lands of Estonia, Keralia, and the Kola Peninsula to the Kingdom of Finland. The Russian Government shall also further relinquish the cities of Novgorod and Archangelsk and their surrounding regions to the Kingdom of Finland. Russia shall also relinquish the control of its Arctic islands to the Kingdom of Finland.

VId.) The removal of a Russian presence from the far east, and Siberia. The Russian government shall remove itself from the Kamchatka Peninsula aswell as all additional Far-East possesions. The Russian government shall also withdraw itself from all lands east of the Lena, and further withdraw itself from the region of Yakutia/Siberia. These lands are to be divided by the Mongolian Khanate and the Greater East Asian Republic.

ARTICLE VII
The Immediate cessation of hostilities between all warring parties. The former Russian Union, now the Parliamentary Republic of Russia, shall cease all hostilities with the allied powers, and shall sign agreements of peace upon the acceptance of all terms of the Treaty of Turku. The Parliamentary Republic of Russia shall sign indefinate pacts of Non Aggression with the Holy Roman Empire [of the French Nation], the Greater East Asian Republic, the Union of Krakow, the Kandid Shahdom of Persia, the Khanate of Mongolia, the Kingdom of Finland, and the newly created Kingdom of Georgia. Such pacts of Non-Aggression further apply to all allies of the aforementioned nations.

Signed,

I stared at him. My love. He was so strong. Stronger than me, stronger than anyone could ever be. He stood there, in the middle of that small stage, his arms out to the people, imploring them. Freedom. That was his message. Freedom forever, freedom till death, freedom in death, freedom in life. Freedom. I heard only the rhythm of his words for I was to entranced, to engrossed in this vision of him. My savior. What more beauty could there be than this? What more could one want.

The crowd before him lay silent, like children listening to a story. Some had tears. Not many. People were tired of crying now. So much death had befallen us. Such treachery at the hands of our over lords and so much blood on our hands.

Murmurs rose from the crowd as my love spoke of freedom. No more monarchies. Freedom. He spoke with such passion. I only wished it would not end. It did. It seemed inevitable that this would happen sooner or later. Such an end. So abrupt, as if time came screeching to a halt with that one sound. It was so loud. I thought I might go deaf with the blast of it. After the blast, smoke lingered for a few moments and the room seemed to tremble as the crowd swelled and charged the one who set it off. That one who brought more pain to me than anything I have ever known.

My love fell.

He fell backwards into the arms of his followers. He tumbled. What a shock this was to him. I could see him blinking in disbelief as blood ran down from his shoulder. The cloth draped over his body slowly being stained with his blood. He clutched at the wound and looked into nothingness. He looked into pain, in pain. His eyes danced with it. He looked down at his shoulder where the blood swelled from. Where it stained his beautiful clothes. I have never seen anything red like that. That stark red against the white of his clothes.

I ran to him.

Something caught in my throat. I felt like I was choking as I looked down at him. I was lost in his eyes. Every fiber in me screamed in agony for I saw his pain, his desperate plea for understand. Why? Why had this happened. He reached for me, like a child reaching for his mother and I held his hand. His mouth lay open, as if lost for words. Oh my love, my love. The world spun around me. It seemed as if I were in a trance. I heard nothing of what was going on around me, though I was vaguely aware of shouts and screams from people. They were fighting I think.

A smile came to my love’s lips. The smile that I knew so well. It was a smile of terrifying pain. It was the smile that made me let his hand go. He pushed the others around him away as he struggled to rise. Hands reached out to help him. He pushed them away. He rose alone.

cause the HRE is ruling everything again i presume

though that isn't true at all. GEAR is there and EUA.... but those are only 3 people so i guess that is why people are saying that this is dead. Because all the power is in very few hands. And those people are all allies so it wouldn't make for a very interesting game

i think thats stupid though... things change

Lurker's Comment: Actually, that is your fault for just announcing your presence on the world kentharu. You should have bided your time gathering more forces and support instead of posting a story and asking panda for independence (Let's face it, panda isn't the most generous players around when it comes to that). I mean for all you know, I'm a secret Chinese organization ready to make my move ;)

Frederik I, King of Finland, signs the Treaty of Turku.

OOC: That'd be rather nice. It's much easier to convince people to work with you when they're all dead. :) This NES has done nothing... if not taught me to utterly despise people playing pathetic, hopeless rebel movements...

Lurker's Comment: Yes, I am a pathetic and hopeless rebel movement doomed to defeat for the sole reason that I'm not even in this nes :p
