NESLife V

I can't tell exactly what he edited, he didn't add anything new. But still, he at least looked at the list.

I started working on it again, yes. So much for surprising people :p

Those of you still interested, many thanks for your patience!

FYI, all I did was fix some text that was randomly in italics.

Xiraflorium: Daedwartin
Evolved from: Virafilium
Genes added: Cold Resistance[1], Brain [1]
Genes removed:
Description: As Virafilium hunted around, their ability to hunt was limited by intelligence. This was compounded by the frigidness. This influenced some to cultivate these areas. It became cold resistant to hunt in greater areas. It also developed one of the first brains, with a 1 month memory and simple critical thinking, though it was mostly concerned with catching prey.

OOC: since you havent put up the epoch ended post yet, i can still join in time for era 3.

Yes this is a bump, I have not abandoned this NES! I still plan to continue with this.

I probably should have said this a while back, but I want to put a shout out for Iggy's new NESLife, if anyone is not aware of it: NESLifeVI!

Iggy has an evolution system that doesn't use 'gene' points at all, nor any gene bonuses, and it seems to be working really well. Players simply give a mutation in response to some kind of pressure, be it predation or competition for food. I am thinking I would like to copy and paste that straight into this NES - the more I think about it, the less reason there is for any kind of numbers or figures at all. I guess one of the reasons I stalled on this NES is because things were not feeling right, with regards to the rules.

So yeah, please do check out Iggy's NES and feel free to discuss any changes to the rules you'd like to see here, if you are still interested :salute:

Let me rephrase that, is there any interest in seeing this particular NESLife world continue? :hmm:

I haven't had the opportunity to contribute to this world really, but I would like the chance.

Absolutely interest from me. :) That said, I don't want you to split your attentions between too many projects- I'd much rather you focused on one project and made it last, than focus on two that die off too soon.

I share you concern, Iggy! I was thinking I could, at least, keep this ticking over slowly, using your simple method of evolution to cut a load of worry over the stats.

In the words of the old man from scene 27:
"Git on with it"

In other words, I'm still interested.

Any rules version you want DAFT is good, as long as your GODnes continues.

March on our every marching on lifeforms. March on.
Our life will control THE WORLD.
UMLIMITED POWER
*cough*...oh my, it appears my ego has inflated and gotten to me

Dont worry, a sharp prick with a needle should do the trick :nya:

Yes! Please continue this NES!

Soooo.....

Like the Roman legions copying the best attributes of their enemies, I have decided to incorporate many of the lessons learnt from the success of Iggy's NesLife 6. I am thinking: continuing this world but in a whole new thread, new rules, new stats, and an update to get things rolling, all of which to be completed and posted up today. Interested? Wish me luck :)

I wish you luck!

By the way, if you're wondering where the next NESLife VI update is, it's going to happen some time after my exams finish.
