Courier de bois would be a good UU for a Champlain leader.
I thought the Crees covered Canada well enough and did not wish for a Canadian Civ. However, as a French Canadian myself, I would be glad if they'd pick Laurier. That will differentiate Canada from other English speaking colonial nations at the very least. I am curious to see how they will handle his dialogue, a mix of French and English like CdM and Gandhi?
I love the turn that one took.
Gandhi didn't speak French and English.
Well, Mali would certainly get a trade related ability. If it is done by a unique CH is another question, but it is certainly an option.
Carthage did get free harbour in civ 5 so that may be an option in this expansion.
I'm kind of flabbergasted (yet happy) with merging Carthage into Phoenicia because Carthage is an offshoot of punic/Phoenician civilization (which was more like the Greek civilization in that it was a collection of city states). It's kind of a nice change actually if true.
"Free harbor" in civ VI? I think a unique Harbor district that is actually a mix of harbor and encampment might work well for them.
I just hope they are not one again a civ that gets a bonus to cross mountains. That only makes sense as Hannibal's LA, and even there I think it is a bit misplaced in regards to civs that actually live in mountains and cross them "daily".
With harbours being outside of city centres in this iteration of civ, that may be more difficult to do as far as how a player would place a free district.
Yes, of course . I do hope you got my meaning about bilingual leaders though.
Lord help them if they give an expansion Civ a better unique Harbor than England has. The backlash will be worse than the storm they're depicting on their youtube channel right now.
A build speed bonus would work, like japan gets but for harbours. If they get a unique harbour it would be half priced compared to standard harbour district.
Very stereotypical, don't you think? Is like for us, Spaniards they would use a bull instead of our coat of arms to represent our contry... Ouch!
Carthage gets merged into Phoenicia (and I can agree with that) but at the same time Canada gets its own civ...I don't understand
Well yes, but to be fair ice hockey is probably a bigger part of Canadian culture than bullfighting is to Spanish culture.
What is the difference between Canada and the US? Both countries have their own aboriginal civilizations that live within their country borders.
I been 5 months without playing Civ, by far the longest time without Civ since I started playing back in 2013. I was right in the middle of a match when I stopped because I got Fallout 4 in a steam sale, I have to say it's quite scary to go back now, it will be quite overwhelming to remember everything I was doing, what I had planned, how the mechanics work. It's time to do it though, now that a new expansion is on its way.
And Canada doesn't exactly have a ton of history to draw from.
It's not me that has the final say but Firaxis. And Firaxis has known to be stereotypical.
The difference is that the US had far more impact on the wold stage
