New Turkey (and related nations) News

in honour of this thread made up by a moderator from stuff in General Politics one a year ago , the name has been modified back to its original considering New Turkey is not that much of anything related to Turks ...

considering the real question is who is the intelligence agent now ? Even pushing my original ideas for this particular post to the back ...

quite impressive actually . Covered by the conviction that it must be joy through that "Putin's puppet" won ... Though what doesn't compute is that there should have been probing about the statement of either fight or get out of the way . With revelations about the commitment to move stuff out of the way , if it comes to that , too ...

sigh , it must be Politics . What's called an idiot here , and colourfully described as a weakling who couldn't fight his way forward in a supermarket queue by an American newspaper was the finest political performance in this country , practically for the entire history of the Republic over 100 years IN THE NAME OF DEMOCRACY . By describing it in such terms , it seems reasonable to assume that Antiwesternism would automatically kick into high gear because like everybody knows Westerners are oversize bags of lard and so on . So that a defence would be mounted . Which would be assurances that stuff was accepted . So that the West would then claim everything is OK and so on . You are not going to get it .

but in case you are not in intelligence , the proud voters have no trouble believing they are so bad that the Opposition would pay the West to the tune of 800 billion dollars to get rid of them . Yet the proud voters pay no attention to claims that the PM is severely ill and has fallen low to become a puppet of his two sons , two ministers in the palace cabinet and the head of the so called national intelligence service . And he could resign next year on health grounds . You know , like without telling the intermediaries even ...

you know , questions have been asked solely for archival reasons . And it was not a problem for people in 2014 that he couldn't become the President for his alleged lack of a diploma from a 4 year university . When the same people were asked in 2018 that what was the PM's own law about his chances of running in 2023 , they said the law was clear . Which clearly wasn't ... And the PM was asked that the nation could press for him to run in 2028 and he says 2032 , so that he will be running in 2033 , too ? (This paragraph solely for context)

Isn't Erdogan's plan to sort of make Turkey something more than just a slightly larger regional US vassal?
But it should be clear that if it ever nears being a non-vassal, it will then rapidly near being not even a slightly larger such.

back in the day when the Kurds were the blue eyed sons of the West , ready to rise and kill us all as soon as the pipeline route to the Mediterranean was cleared , there used to be some American guy in CFC ... and he particularly hated my claim everything in the book of bringing Democracy to places was written in the light of experiences fighting us . You know , anyone in the US Military who could also read and write was a fan of Lawrence . Not that all of them were perverts who liked to be whipped just like their hero but it was proof that it could be done . People could be induced to revolt against authority and so on .

let us expand on that . The current globally trendy hate politics and so on were also created under the guidance of fighting us . As an example , take Albanians with their "flexibility" and stuff . They will mock anyone who name their kids in the local variety of the name and yet they do not have THE exact story on how Skanderbeg would happily rebel whenever the "Goverment Forces" had an Albanian "majority" and always seek peace when it became serious . In a way or two . Or how jealously bitter enemies of each other they can be . A career rebellion was where those claimed to seek martyrdom in the name of Liberty would be quite content to become a Pasha in the ranks of Oppressors for a couple of years before sacked as greedy tyrants to rebel again for the next cycle ... One of them went wrong in 1821 , eventually destroying the Egyptian infiltration into Porte with Navarin , came to an head in the 1839 invasion and made it impossible to take Skanderbeg's revenge by finally sitting on the very throne . While having become fully Muslims along the way , too ...

of course by the time it was clear , the system had been throughly institutionalized . Greece was supported by the West , it would always expand and one day would also reach Anatolia . Thus all those brilliantly smart people made their little own pacts with their Greek neighbours . They would look like the part but would not be in their hearts . And as you should be able to imagine , all these little pacts eventually ended up as a system in the hands of the Greek Church . It was NOT the inferiority complex in the beginning . It was the fuzzy warmth of a smart deal , nobody else could have thought of . (But , of course everybody already had) It is the fight between a Rumeli of which we do not own for more than a century and a so-called Anatolia . A fight between those who had been massacred by their Christian neighbours and those who had assurances that they would be spared as all others would be massacred .

it was why the Greek Crown Prince visited the tombs of the father-son team of Osman and Orhan and put his boot on the grave , photographed doing so . A call on people to stick to the plan and show their true colours ... Because the Kurds and Circassians had been defeated , Bolsheviks could supply a lot of things and the 100% revenge would have to wait . As "Rumeli" had taken full control of the country and it would be all out war . This is why the Greeks declared a Western Anatolian Republic so that people could now stick to the plan and show their true colour and create a dilemna for "Rumeli" so that the Greek defeat could be averted . This is why Kemal claims somewhere that the city of Bursa was liberated on September 9th, 1922 , contrary to the factual 11th , because an irregular group had been taken from blocking a possible British intervention from Istanbul to prevent Greeks masquarading as certain people to massacre the Turks in the city to provoke infighting in the hour of decisive military superiority . ı think ı have seen the graves of 2 regular cavalry troopers who fell and were buried on the spot during the official pursuit of the Greek forces on the 11th . Trust me most definitely that am not Mustafa Kemal considering he said nothing against the patriots who burned down the Ottoman Governor's office to burn the reports on how close they were to showing true colours .

this is why the Republic of 1923 was Hanefi Sunni and had great respect or whatever for Hellenistic Greece and had no trouble measuring skulls to say the Turk was (also) European . This is why the only "worthwhile" single pledge of the PM in 2019 was that if he was elected , his nation would be able to visit "nation's teahouses" and get one free glass of tea and one free cake everyday . The latter about 35 grams or so . Never heard of anyone getting them , but anyhow . And yes , the PM still running and getting votes . Yes , these people love to think they are maybe 50 000 people and capably herd the rest of the country like geese . Not particularly aware that they are millions and herded like sheep . These people have no issue with millions of Syrians and stuff ; since they are smarter than the Turks they can surely outsmart the Umeyyad . Now they are once again joyously happy because they will become Nazis and blame a secret cabal or millions of closet Jews for ruining the country . As always . Being smart is an addiction on par with drug abuse .

like nobody is trying to reason with them , too . That was Kemal's Republic . Its worth or whatever was clear by the time of the Disgrace of July 15th when the city of Bursa (supposedly a stronghold of the Congregation) changed its spots in minutes when a single Congregation Colonel was arrested .

Likely France only cared about no turkish state ending up with control of regions with oil (Iraq/Syria). Once that was agreed upon, they very glaringly gave heavy weapons (along with Italy) to the turkish army in the greek-turkish war (so did the soviets, of course).
That said, the plan to actually move to central anatolia with the army was very optimistic. Either a defense of Smyrna or eastern Thrace (with the intention of incorporating Constantinople if Britain left as it did in the end) was much more logical.
Assuming, of course, that it was simply impossible to cede Smyrna to Italy (and it was; at the time there were more greeks in Smyrna than in either Athens or Thessalonike).

rush to see the city , before America nukes it .

US has a history of backstabbing even more "traditional" allies, ala Britain in the Suez crisis (last time Britain tried to pretend being a major power).
That wasn't a backstab.
US wasn't informed of UKs plans.
Being an ally doesn't mean supporting your allies foolish and amoral actions.

No, it means supporting your candidate in his ongoing campaign when the Suez Crisis happened (it'd be too naive to suggest US cared about the rights of egyptians, -Egypt now also has a US-backed dictatorship, btw, though likely it is a better option for many than the alternative - it only wanted to prevent large parts of the arab world drifting to the soviet sphere).
Ultimately it did some good, Britain never again was seen as a major power and stuck to being a lap-dog. Though tbf that was the trajectory since ww1.

Turkish Lira Hits New Low; Devaluation Pressure Mounts
BY JARED MALSIN AND CHELSEY DULANEY

ANKARA, Turkey—The Turk-ish lira tumbled to a record low after the country’s new cabinet signaled an attempt to stabilize the country’s troubled economy, including scaling back an expensive effort to defend the local currency.
The lira fell more than 7% to trade about 23 to the U.S. dollar, the currency’s largest daily drop since late 2021 when the country was in the throes of a currency crisis.

The local currency has trended lower since the reelection of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in May after years in which the central bank artificially propped up the lira as a part of the government’s unusual approach to managing the economy.
Now, the lira’s steep fall isn’t seen as a sign of impending crisis but as a shift to a more prudent economic policy after Erdogan last weekend appointed Mehmet Simsek, an investor favorite, as his new finance minister.
Simsek and other Turkish officials face the monumental challenge of rescuing the economy after years in which Erdogan pushed Turkey, a member of the Group of 20 and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, to the brink of a financial crisis. In recent years he has pressured the central bank to cut interest rates despite high inflation, the opposite of what governments worldwide usually do.

“Turkey is facing a systemic crisis unless policy changes. That’s clear and it’s clear to the guys around Erdogan that that was a risk,” said Timothy Ash, a senior emerging market strategist with BlueBay Asset Management in London. “Everyone expected the lira to weaken whoever won the election. It was artificially maintained. It was unsustainable.” Turkey’s central bank has been supporting the lira by burning through its limited foreign-exchange reserves, a policy it accelerated in the months before the May election. Investors are optimistic that the lira’s depreciation is the first step in a return to more orthodox economic policy by Erdogan.

Simsek’s appointment returns an official who helped guide the Turkish economy when Erdogan followed more conventional economic policies. Allowing the lira to decline in value is seen as a relief valve for the country’s finances, making the currency more attractive to investors and helping exporters. The decision could be unpopular with the broader Turkish public, already wrestling with rising costs.

cross referencing for easier location of the the thing in case of need
yes , we have basically established ...

naturally involves the question of takiyye , which involves a Muslim forced to lie , like hiding his beliefs from infidels who might kill him/her for rejecting pagan idols . Some person on the net insists it is peculiar only to the Shia . Despite the thing it was rather prevalent in the Turkish political discourse .

is a link about stuff from 2003 . It is meant for those who can read Turkish and of course machine translation is far better in these days . Ruşen Çakır did great work in early times to propagate that the A-K-P was "different" ; currently says he was deceived or something . The first interview involves a former head of the religious agency . Says (in 2003) that they have come to power through Democracy , they can do it , nobody has a justification to do the takiyye anymore . Readily mentions Ihvan in Egypt is ready to follow the leadership . Second interview is a business leader whom ı remember as a Congregation enabler . If not a member , still cleared the path and scouted ahead and used influence to stall investigations which would have exposed the Conspiracy before it was ready . In effect he says the PM has changed . No longer the person who in 1994 or 96 or whatever stated that Democracy was a tram and he would get off it when he arrived at his destination . Even if the newspaper interview has it as "We" instead of "I" ... The business leader says there are those who write novels , you know , lies like the Party was conspiring against the Republic and the semi-functioning Democracy .

ugh , the few readers comments at the bottom . One directly says a politician is doing the takiyye , even when the others have stopped it . Funnily enough the guy is still accused of doing the takiyye , a full 20 years on .

this is the best in the first page of a google search . Think the first response was some 49 MPs from A-K-P voted against in the "famous March 1st vote" in 2003 . Despite that 20 members had spoken in the Parliamentary debate and only 2 were against . For those who don't know , this was about letting the US Army to invade Iraq from "the North" as well . The PM had just been elected to the Parliament as he lacked the legal status to run for Parliament after being jailed and whatnot and laws were changed in his name and so on . It was his first "test" as the Prime Minister and he lost some face . After the Speaker of the Parliament pulled some tricks , because the Congregation and the PM had some issues about money flow and whatnot long ago , in the days the PM was the mayor of Istanbul and so on ... Showing the world who the actual boss was .

the actual reason for the "backstab" was of course America having changed its mind on the last moment . Instead of impressing the Kurds with the awesomely digitalized 4th Infantry Division , American commanders moved it around the Arabian Peninsula and stuff . The reason for that was the discovery that Turkish Military teams had been spotted all over Iraq , down South to a point that the lights of Basra was visible in the night over the horizon. Assuring Shia tribes that when the sectarian conflict started , the Turkish Military would do it super half hearted . Let Live and Live . America had planned to keep the Turkish Army in the hell that would come to be called the Sunni triangle , making it a hostage of the Kurdish goodwill because there would be no Turkish control on its Lines of Communications . The PM wanted that deployment in the name of Sunnification of the now dead Turkish Armed Forces because the Congregation infiltration of the officer ranks might very well be used against him in time ; you had to respect stuff if you were to do COIN in any area and you needed "experts" within ranks . If it was going to be a vacation in the desert for the evil Turks , much like the thing that amongst all the NATO troops in Afghanistan , ours never carried weapons on patrol , because nobody would risk "some wrath" ... Definitely curtailed the Algeria type of Civil War ; America was forced to prolong the Democracy thing , opened the way for Ergenekon Conspiracies and there was the little attempt to put the blame for ISIL on Turkey years later because the 4th might have invaded Musul before the Saddamites were dispersed into 4 winds , preparing to start a Jihad or something , radicalizing the Sunni tribes and so on . Funny fact , Saddam's fedayeen wore "Darth Vader style" helmets , before their utter routing by the US Army ... From this you gotta deduce every young Iraqi clan leader had seen the Original Triology on video long ago .

today is of course 100 years from the Treaty of Laussanne . Signed by traitors to the country , Caliphate and Islam . With its secret articles and clauses . Down to ones that forbid this country to use its mineral wealth ; we can't extract oil from our territory , a sea of oil lies underneath and we can't use it because of the traitors of a hundred years ago . Meaning we can't have our camels and Benzes . Until the day 100 years pass . And the whole world trembles in fear of the "Resurrection" ...

except New Turkey media NOW says there are no secret articles of the Lausanne Treaty . Because like it is 2023 and we don't have a GDP or GNP of 25 000$ per capita , as it was promised 10 or so years ago . Funnily enough ı also remember the times when the Treaty of Laussane was valid only for 90 years and Britain was leading the world in accepting the absolute right of New Turkey to bring back the Caliphate . When the Treaty was valid for only 80 years , A-K-P was doing the good work through full support of the West ; they had no need . Valid for 70 years ? The Congregation on the rise , no need for a wake up call after the declaration of the end of the Republic and eventual destruction of the country . Valid for 60 years ? Times of Santa Turgut ; heroically inspecting the Honour Guard in shorts . Valid for 50 ? Erbakan in the Coalition Goverment .

there are weak attempts to claim it is known wrong and the secret articles end on July 24th , 2024 .

a counter-attack involves the mauseleum of Atatürk in Ankara cost 24 tons of gold , when the country was poor . Counterpoint involves calculations that 24 tons come out to 1,7 billion dollars in today's money which is just 1.3% of the 128 billion dollars which was "evaporated" in financial operations , ostensibly to keep the exchange ratio balanced .

the Main Opposition leader reportedly confessed that he knew he COULDN'T win but there was pressure from unnamed entities , the country is dead and nobody can save it . The State like officially accepted there are (at least) 17 million refugees and whatever in the country but without saying 17 millions and people naturally argue 20% of 85 millions is not 17 millions .

24-07-2023b.jpg

the PM says a million Syrians might have returned to Syria considering they apparently do not count people at the borders .

ı was wrong . This is not the guy who caught up with Azrail , the Angel of Death , slapped the Archangel and returned his servant back to life and when the angel complained to Allah in tears , Allah Told the angel to shut up , there were things beyond Allah's Power or whatever . That one apparently relates to Abdülkadir Geylani of 900 years ago . This one just talked to earthquakes and told them to go back . And of course when it happened in February , his miracle was proven by the miracle of some stones not falling on some village . He died , it is some sort of an actual race between his 3 sons . Who gets the most followers in his allotted mosque will be the overall person to talk to earthquakes .

24-07-2023c.jpg

another "100 years" thing . The decisive battle of the War of Liberation with the southern segment of the Greek Army defeated in 1922 . Yeah , ı can nominally still do the four arithmetic operations thing .

those who have been defining me as the "Mustafa Kemal of 21st Century" surely got an inkling to why ı didn't even bother to close it down . Now , in case there is a need to fight an existantial war and Starfleet assigns me to command it , you can be sure that there will be a communique that clearly says it . Otherwise , like obviously ı have not been assigned to any such position and the description is not related to any factual situation and whatever .

ı have never claimed anything like this . Only thing ı claim is that ı am an admiral in the Starfleet and ı will quite happily order the orbital bombardment of things like states and continents . In practical terms this means ı am a nothing and a nobody . Until the first starship arrives in orbit . There will be those to claim it is all lies and CGI . Luckily those who will undergo the orbital bombardment will be able to make the distinction . Tell the difference .

confused as usual ? It is the centennary of the Republic of 1923 . And there is a March for it . There wouldn't be one , but for the earthquake of February and Russia is still standing . Would have been better if it wasn't officially played in public , because as everybody knows but refuses to officially accept that this would have been the last year of the Republic , with the Constitution changed and a federation and whatnot . Means Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk still remains relevant . As a military commander of renown , a down to earth son of the country who worked hard to excel in his work ending up the "father of the Turks" . Means there is a large scale system of systematic attacks against him ; as if that would have changed anything with regards to arm depots and reserves and software held ready . You know , for stuff . Because the PM is tall , there is a thread in the echo chamber that says Atatürk was just 1.64m . Even if the official sources say 1.74m .

when some person describes me as the 21st century version , it basically means Atatürk was a fool . Or something . And for those who wouldn't fall for this , it is still negative . Because it will make me a political subject or object and obviously ı will fail and it will end up in the same place . Am not a politician . Will not be one . Will just turn things into glass or drill holes in some mountains . Or plains . Or whatever .

and even beyond that , too . Because 52% is the maximum America can push as the vote in fair and free elections and stuff and there is still a lot more to do and my accidental witnessing of the part of the official concert thing which had the "Çanakkale" song , performed under the PM's picture in the PM's palace only because that 1984 can not YET have it that PM was responsible for that victory in 1915 , for having born in 1954 or thereabouts simply means the PM is in one of his cyclical things about apparently respecting Mustafa Kemal . To make his status as a "founding father" accepted . By those who actually wouldn't . This post ends now , with just 8 minutes of August 30th, 2023 left in my time zone ...

It's 'interesting' that nato congratulated Turkey for this, as if it wasn't a victory over another nato member, with the help of nato enemy Russia (and France/Italy) :p
Tbf, if it wasn't for France, there'd be no Turkey in Europe, regardless even if anything else had played out the same way.

this country congragulates your Day of Independence even if it involves Albanian bandits starting and your ancestors finishing the job of massacring every possible Turk in the areas effected .

what do you want them to ? Ordering New Turkey to start burning Turkish flags ?

do not complain , before giving some actual thought to their newer vassals . You have it real easy peasy and safe .

Battle of Sakarya Aug 23 - Sept 13 1921; the high water mark of the war for Greece and the turning point Attaturk! Happy Anniversary.

the end of the Greek offensive capability in the war in Turkey , the land not Greek held in any state level form since late 1300s . See , one can finecomb things with care .
