AI seems a little Jekyll and Hyde one turn hostile then "You'll Pay for this" then neutral for one turn now friendly and desire friendly relations - weird

I checked in during the various turns but it doesn't seem to be changing. I don't really know what is causing it. Best guess at the moment is that there is a World Religion proposal in the congress and that is messing with it? Perhaps it will revert back if it succeeds or there isn't one? Will find out in about 50 turns.
I have been using the mod for years before it got integrated and the bug was there already. It's often towards the end of a long game (I play epic speed, don't know if it matters).

Odd. I never had or seen this before they included the map tab to the religious view. Don't think I ever seen this pre-3.x.

You should be able to trade your flat gold for their luxuries, but not the other way around.
I can't say for sure but I think I have seen the other way around. But I can't really prove it so it is probably just in my head. That said I do find it a bit annoying now that the AI keeps offering things for flat gold as the primary offer so I find myself having to change it manually all the time. After all I need my flat gold to upgrade all my units and pre-pay for buildings.

It is. Never play with ruins & not quests. I play on Marathon where the standard equivilent of 45 is 135, but the amount of XP against Barbs goes right past that and above. Either there has been a change to this or it is a bug. Not sure.
The more I play my current game I find that I actually kind of like it this way, limit less xp on barbs and city-states.

--- ---- ---- ---

I wonder if the CS options are a bit broken, I can't seem to use the "improve resource" thing for 200g as a diplomatic mission. The tile (corals) are in their border, but beyond the workable (but that shouldn't be an issue). There is no boat there. It says they have corals but they are disconnected and they don't seem to interested in buying or building a boat themselves to improve it.

I suspect it has to do with someone conquering a holy city. I haven't been paying attention to it, but my last game had one conquered and the religious screen bugged. I'll pay more attention to that next time.

That could be it. I have taken a one or two of them and I think one have fallen to the other players to. Will try and keep that in mind for the next game.

"You'll Pay for this" has a hint that this may lead to a declaration of war, or make the AI neutral for a while (if the AI is weaker militarily and does not have allies - other AI or city-states near the player)

Also, if the AI is weaker militarily but hates the player, it can pretend to be friendly. Military civilizations do this very often - France, Assyria, Denmark. They may even offer friendship, or form a friendship alliance with your friends to keep you from declaring war on them (or you will get a lot of unpleasant diplomatic consequences)

In advanced map creation settings there is a 'transparent diplomacy' option to display all modifiers and you can often see that 'friendly' has more than half of the red modifiers.

Is it even possible to form a real friendship in this game?
No probably not. I don't think I have had a friendship last an entire game. They eventually turn on me, they are friends as long as the declarations and pacts last then as soon as they end it's war times ohoy.

A question about military unit capacity. Playing emperor and normal set up.

I'm playing as the Huns and I'm at maximum capacity 27/27 units and my score for military is 25. I took Authority and Fealy.
I've just encountered Japan that went Tradition and Fealty and they have a military score of 56....
They have 2 more techs than me and one more policy. I've already built the Terracotta Army (+5 Units cap) while Japan has not built any military wonders.

I'm just interested in people's opinions how this could be?

Maybe they're way over their cap? Do promotions on units help contribute to military score?

Is there anyone else unable to build the brazilian unique improvement ?

Since the previous 2 updates I can't build it (I saw the Shoshone improvement bug has been fixed but not this one ?)

At emperor difficulty you get 15% of your pop as supply while AI get 25% of their pop as supply. Maybe that's part of the explanation.

Also they might have built more military buildings and defense than you did.

I seem to be having a bizarre problem with the latest release, and this affected me with the previous release too.

No resources seem to spawn on the map. And i mean no resources - no bonus resources, no luxuries, no strategic resources.

Naturally I suspect a mod conflict at play, but the problem persists even when I disable all mods except the latest VP bits (see attached)

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Yes it seems to affect all maps.
I don't actually know how to clear the cache..!
I'll try re-installing if there isn't anything else to try

Check Lua.log, and see what's the error line, also what map do you use?
