50% increased internal trade route value by fealty + 25% trade route value increased from capital by statecraft + 2 yields per era from menancy = wombo combo :)
Damn, I want to try that
Don't forget to take Order on top of that (and die from unhappiness after that, because you need more culture and science in your cities )

Sure, Order will be taken.
Iam at +1 happiness at the moment, everything is fine. And you forgot, I can (and do at the moment) switch my trade routes from food to hammers. ;)

In fact that might be a decent strat for some TR-dependent civ, like Ottomans for example

Luxuries were 1 happy for a long time. Plus, with the scaler, they still have a lot of value (50% or more of your happiness will come from luxuries). If it is too high, it hurts players with isolated starts quite a bit.

I know and I was happy when their base value increased (and sad to see it drop gain).

Anyway, it is probably more of a psychological thing, I want to be more excited about obtaining a new lux, I suppose. Let's see how things work with the scaling now.

Something strange happened in my game: https://imgur.com/a/kJ4fwTv

It seems like Gajah smoked one too many of his special peppers
Github.

The entire game is a psychological thing, unless, I suppose, you are making money off of twitch streaming with your playthroughs
But yeah the higher lux value was pretty nice, sad to see it go, too.

You were not the slayer of the Dutch, so you will still be able to liberate. War/peace is reset on death.

Are city-states willing to slay a Player if the only city is weak, the city-states are nearby, and their allies are at war with the Player?

I need clarification on embarkation. Are the Hunnic units allowed to stack on my Quinquereme because we're "friendly"? Would they not be able to stack if at war? The status of embarked units has not changed, correct?
As long as you are not at war with someone, he can stack his civilian/non naval military units "under your boat", AI loves to do this during times of war puting units under naval armies of your friends or neutrals. Same rule as civil units and military units on land, but the stack is limited to one unit afaik.

Pushing a small hotfix with a text fix for the Fealty policy food mismatch (should be +2, says +3) and a potential fix for the pepper-smoking Gajah bug (tl;dr, Gajah's vanilla text is weird, fixed that, but also fixed it so that you can't get into an insult spiral with someone if they demand from you).

Online now. Savegame compatible. This will be my last update until 2019. Have fun!

Cheers,
G

Thanks a lot for your flawless pugnacity and the
Pugnacity, or a natural disposition to be aggressive or belligerent, isn't considered a flattering quality for a person to have. Prolific is a much better choice of words. Gracious, genial, gifted, gregarious, grand, giving, glad, gleeful, gentlemanly and generous Gazebo.

You quoted this:

Pugnacity, or a natural disposition to be aggressive or belligerent, isn't considered a flattering quality for a person to have. Then again, if you're a boxer, politician, or lawyer, that feistiness might actually come in handy.

You dropped the second sentence. I'd add a dollop of artistic license and say that gwennog gave Gazebo a nicely humorous compliment.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and family, Jeff! :xmassign::newyear:

From your digi-friend in the True North Strong and... free? Anyways, enjoy!

Capitals being placed very close together. On this patch, using the communitas map on large, my capital spawned about 8 tiles away from one of the AI capitals. This was not happening with same settings on previous patch.

Anyone else finding the difficulty ratcheted up in the last 6 months?

I was consistently winning with ease on Emperor last Summer but I'd say only in 1/10 of my last games have I felt like I'm not truly coming from behind.

Maybe it's time to return to Emperor.
