Does the frequency of popup events scale with game speed? Just asking since on marathon/immortal/ten cities I am getting an event approximately every 10 turns which seems a lot?
 
I think there is a bug with pathfinders on marathon. I got to level 6 by turn 30 on immortal when a pathfinder hit a map reveal ruin which gave it experience for each tile that was revealed hitting a leveling up jackpot. In theory, reveal tile experience should not be granted I think?

I believe that is intended, to make that ruin actually feel useful. Otherwise it's essentially robbed XP.
 
Hmmm problem is that the leveling jackpot makes the pathfinder so over powered in human hands. In my opinion the map reveal is useful without granting a massive leveling up boost as well.

I think you might be the only one with that opinion though. When we had the ruins discussion everyone seemed to hate getting that ruin
 
What is up with those warmonger scores?

I got to over -300 very quickly in medieval times just for conquering 5 cities (low sea level communitas standard size map) and I improve 1 point every turn. I am half way through the game researching railroad on turn 400. Hiawatha (-365), Babylon (-284) and all the others hate me because of it.
Does this mean I will still have negative warmonger scores at the end of the game even if I don`t do anything for the rest of the game? Does this mean I need 365 turns to be no warmonger anymore? Is there no mechanic that accelerates the dacay of this score if you have been peaceful for a time?

I used the world congress to pass the Casus Belli resolution. But it seems to slow down the dacay of the warmonger scores and not accelerate it. Now the score decays just on most turns by 1 and not on every turn anymore. So the WC resolution may not work as intented.

youre not the only one with that opinion, that massive XP ruin is the sole reason I reworked scouting 1 to have a trailblazer 3 pre-req (instead of trailblazer 2), so he doesnt get massive movement AND massive sight immediately which leads to completely trivializing map exploration.


From what I understand, to get AI logs (not necessarily any other debug information), the following variables must be in place...

And, if I remember correctly, every time you do a fresh install those settings reset. do they harm performance greatly? I wonder why they aren't set to the default option so everybody has them, particularly in betas

i think he's unhappy about the amount of xp he gets when opening the ruin on marathon. on standard i usually jump from lvl 2 or 3 to lvl 4 or 5 (2 lvls). on marathon everything is much slower, and leveling from tile reveal should probably be too.
 
+1 on the massive DOF fest. I am noticing it now too.

The big one for me is that right after a end a war with someone, they immediately want to be my friend. That is definitely different than the last version.

I didn't realize that on my first post. The ruins are set up to scale with game speed, but I suppose the XP shouldn't

I've copy-pasted all the files from the "logs" folder and will upload the necessary ones once you tell me which ones to post. Until then, here's a save of the game. I'm off to play some more :)

In my games the same, but I think it is normal. Some AI just go monument and don't focus on shrines and some AI from start build shrines and in other cities focus shrines too. I see in one game when last pantheon was found and then after 10 turns was first religion founded :)


Warmonger penalty combat bonus added to unit combat bonus or not? In my current game, England against me has combat bonus 20% to all units, that very strange(but I am Denmark, and have -110 warmonger opinion on them)
 
I don't know if this qualifies as weird behavior but since I met Potacello every 5 turns or so he makes these fantastic trade offers for me, like an embassy if I give him Marble.

Of course they are not so fantastic for me (trade value 1.624 in his favor for that particular one) so I keep on declining.

Hi! - First post here, i've really enjoyed CBP so far. I had a CTD from 2-7-3, around turn 300. If I understand correctly, I should post that on github, with a zip with save, logs, and CvMiniDump.dmp? The strange thing is, my CvMiniDump.dmp file is zero bytes in size. Should I be setting something in the config file to enable an actual dump?

Also posted to Github issues.

Hello, thank you for the great mod! Any chance, that the mod Prehistoric Era Reborn will be compatible with VP?
 
I have reached 1200 AD in my first game and it is by far the best VP version so far.

I concur that the DoFs seem too much although it has calmed down as the game proceeded. I was getting a lot of "glad to see you're his friend too blah blah". It seemed everyone was friends with everyone else.

I betrayed Korea when I had a DoF, killed a few of their troops and captured a settler.

They came back with an offer of peace and straight after another Dof which seemed a bit much too soon.

AI seem a bit too non-aggressive so far although I have been warmongering so I can't judge on one game.

On turns, caravans (I have animations on) take far too long. I can't imagine what sort of code is going on that they are so slow.

A few long pauses during AI, but other than that no complaints.

As always, thanks for all the hard work. I've got some weirdness going on with an error concerning the TradeLogic.lua and with this other error Assets\DLC\Expansion2\UI\InGame\InGame.lua. There's also one concerning the Civolopedia, but it doesn't affect gameplay, so it doesn't concern me. I've attached the Lua Log; might anyone out there know a solution to these errors? I'd like to finish this game....
