Music is played, I can click mouse(and yeah I hear music from my clicking actions) - but screen is static.

I have had this happening consistently on large / huge Tectonics around industrial. Disabling RED only postponed it a bit.

We discussed it with @ashendashin on GitHub, he had similar experience.

I switched to the to large Planet Sim after that and it was fine. (too busy now, not playing until December, so I cannot say for the latest version).

I have quite a powerful machine (i7, 8 GB, nvidia 710 or something like that).

The problem whit civ v is not even your personal computer specs, its just that since the game is old and in 32 bits there is only so much memory the game itself can use, does not matter if you have a nasa pc or a old laptop, the game itself is the bottleneck, the later you are in the game the more calculations the ai has to do and sometimes the game just cant handle it.

Map size hasn't really been an issue for me since I stopped using FlagPromotions and RED. Never did get a response for that one bug with FP, though. Maybe @Enginseer would be willing to take a look?

yeaa it is not only this game and mod. i have experienced this in for example Medieval 2 mods too. Especially huge overhauls, which adds tons of new features which game design can not handle. well there was at least some flash utility which could expand memory usability about + 2GB, which helped.

I remember almost all promotions, so I just don't need flag promotions.
But I want to ask one little question. About flicker resource under citadel.
What to do with citadels on plantation resources? I have this graphical bug for around a year...
I even purchase new gpu(cause I thought that problem was in my integrated gpu) - but it doesn't help.
Or it is a civ5 core thing? Or maybe I need to change some settings somewhere? I tried different settings in civ5 graphical options from low to high, that flicker always appear...

It's just a civ thing.

Are you sure it's FP? I think it is not that memory heavy. FP should be save compatible, so once you start getting graphical glitches, you can save the game, deactivate FP, load and see if the glitches go away.

I think the biggest offenders are memory extensive mods such as RED.

I just ran into Maya having 9 policies unlocked at turn 30, I have no idea how that happened at all actually.

Anyone ever seen anything like that?

EDIT: And by turn 60 he had 14 policies :D

FP definitely takes up memory and isn't savegame compatible, as others said. It was the last visual mod I was using after giving up on RED and was confirmed to crash my save back when we discussed it on github. There was one bug in particular related to kris swordsmen promos that Engi thought might hog memory with the constant errors.

FlagPromotions is extensively memory heavy. There is no doubt about it. It performs a check on every unit's promotions as long as you can see them. The more units and promotions you have, the more work it'll have to do.
