The following news item has been approved for publication by the AZC, ZA, and Peacekeeping Forces of Zulu War Fame:

"Cease-Fire Signed!"

After a long, tedious 24 hours of edgy negotiations, leaders of the Anti-Zulu Cult and Zulu ALliance emerged from the Palace in Zimbabwe. Peace in the world? Not quite, however a cease fire was signed by all parties, AZC President vladmir_illych_lenin, ZA Leader Leowind, and Peacekeeping Forces Representitive BlueMonday. Therefore, authorized hostilities between Zulu and Anti-Zulu forces shall now halt. Troops have been moved out of the green fields of the Zulu Empire as a sign of trust and goodwill. Cunobelin Of Hippo was on hand to specify the rules of the deal. "Well yes," he managed between shoving a 20' hoagie down his throat," this means that I can't attack those punks anymore, and, for a few days at least, I can't say stuff like 'Outhouse', 'Donkey', or 'Sneak Attack', you know? Just until the fuzzy good feeling wears off and we get back to dissing each other. But yeah, no more weapons." "A great day indeed," declared Leowind, "We've promised to return all Zulu outhouses to Zulu territory, and we have to go back to using leaves, but the spirit of peace the Shaka has been yearning for is beginning to come to fruition." Henceforth, all papers detailing activities of the three camps during the war shall be archived away, to prevent damaging of the legacy. The news was well recieved by the civing community worldwide, generally pleased that the ongoing conflict would take a seat on the backburner.

Hats off to those involved in the peace process! Nice to see you reaced a ceace fire.

I give it a week.

That was a week, until open war rages and the green fields of Zulu territory are awash with the blood of many armies. I'm sure there will be active sniping from dissident groups much sooner, leading to reprisals from other dissidents and factions. Splinter groups will form and war will return to Zululand or whatever it's called.
Both sides will then be forced to renew the conflict in order to maintain solidarity in their camp. That's how these sorts of things go.

Such a sad thing this war will be although it is inevitable I hope there will be little actual violence But still I think it will come sooner than a week I say :three days tops.

You all need help

Take it from a veteran of the infamous Zulu wars, you don't want to go back! It was horrible. Suffering, death, degredation, backstabbing, gang-style killings, bribery, and lots of really, really bad dialogue. Take my advice: let it rest in peace

Great Great Great! I love a good peace; it's great for a military buildup.

SOOOOO...Who wants this crate of FN FALs I got lying around here? I'm selling them at a discount now.

Hey if your selling surplus, I'm buying.

I want to be ready when the fighting starts again.

Of course, as Leo pointed out, the veterans may not want to go back to war, but there are always a bunch of idealistic newbies (like myself) who are willing to try and improve on and outfight those who went before. All it takes is one hothead to get the whole thing going again.

Or maybe a herd of hippos grazing in a meadow wanders a little too close to the fence around Isandlhwanda, and a zulu guard starts shooting and ...

The Evil Empire of the Soviet Union, and its leader, Beloved Comrade Simon Darkshade, note these developments, but insist that past misdeeds and the necessity to defend its fraternal socialist ally of the hamlet of DungDung force it to keep its several million strong expeditionary force in place to protect the interests of the proletariat.

And on the matter of arms for peaceful purposes, the peaceloving Soviet Union has all your armament needs at next weeks "Death Dealing Devices for the Discerning Dictator" smoking concert and arms fair. T80s going out the door for just 50 roubles! AK100s? 10 for 2 roubles!
