NFL Playoffs 2011

or one between kansas and seattle?

Well, since Miami and the Giants (My two favorites) are out, I'm gonna have to root for Seattle just for fun. I'd frankly LOVE to see the looks on people's faces if the Seahawks won at 7-9.

I don't think it will happen though. I see them winning against NO, and losing in the Second Round, and I have a feeling that will happen. Won't be surprised if NO wins though.

People are underestimating the Jets' offense... ranked 11th in the league by YPG, better than the Steelers, Ravens, Chiefs, and Falcons

So tough that they couldn't beat the Saints in a potentially statement game when Brees was personally trying to give the game to them, right? So much confidence in Matty Ice that they punted on 4th and 6 when he couldn't deliver the goods, too.

Why would we show anything new when we had a guaranteed win against Carolina and thus the #1 seed regardless. There was no reason to show anything in that game to a potential playoff opponent.

Statement game? Please. You missed the statement game of beating NO in NO.

I think people are correctly estimating Sanchez's abilities as a playoff QB... he's yet to really impress anyone that he can be consistent and his shoulder might not be 100%.

Jets win or lose on their D, in my opinion.

Baltimore @ Kansas City
New York Jets @ Indianapolis

New Orleans @ Seattle
Green Bay @ Philadelphia

Divisional Round

Baltimore @ New England
Indianapolis @ Pittsburgh

Philadelphia @ Chicago
New Orleans @ Atlanta

Conference Championships

Pittsburgh @ New England
Chicago @ Atlanta

Superbowl

Chicago v. New England

3 Games; 41/68 539 YDs 4 TDs 2 INTs 92.7 rating

The Jets most likely win or lose depending on Sanchez; it's been that way the last 2 years

Baltimore @ Kansas City - Experience matters...
New York Jets @ Indianapolis - I trust Peyton a huge lot more than Sanchez

New Orleans @ Seattle - Seattle's just happy to be here. The Saints believe they can go further
Green Bay @ Philadelphia - I think Green Bay's D matches up very well against Vick. Philly's D against Rodgers? Not so much...

Divisional Round

Baltimore @ New England - Hard to win in Foxboro in january
Indianapolis @ Pittsburgh - Freeney and Mathis against that Steelers O-line?

New Orleans @ Chicago - Somehow I get the feeling that Gregg Williams will game plan for Cutler and that O-line perfectly
Green Bay @ Atlanta - Matt Ryan's 19-2 in the Georgia Dome, but the Packers have just really impressed me this year...

Conference Championships

Indianapolis @ New England - Brady just has a healthier supporting cast + it'll be in Foxboro
Green Bay @ New Orleans - Two flawed (pass only) offenses, so I gotta go with the better defense

Superbowl

Green Bay vs New England - The one spot where I feel Green Bay's defense is vulnerable is shallow crossing routes over the middle. Isn't that where Wes Welker lives?

Well, Ivory won't be playing for the Saints, and Seattle is a tough place to play...

I think New Orleans wins, but I also would bet that the Seahawks cover.

What's the point spread for this?

I don't really think Seattle is going to win, I'm just hoping they do to anger the Buccaneers fans:mischief:

And the Pats making it all the way, only to lose to a 7-9 team, would be EPIC for a Fins fan...

[Edit:] Bah, I screwed up the match-making seeds in the Divisional round:

Wildcard Round:

Baltimore @ Kansas City
New York Jets @ Indianapolis

New Orleans @ Seattle
Green Bay @ Philadelphia

Divisional Round:

Chiefs @ New England
Indianapolis @ Pittsburgh

Philadelphia @ Chicago
New Orleans @ Atlanta

Conference Championships:

Pittsburgh @ New England

I REALLY hope Chicago doesn't make it now.

That said, I know more Jets fans than Pats fans, so I'll cheer for NE against them, if only so they lose to Seattle:mischief:

I REALLY hope Chicago doesn't make it now.

Why's that?

I think that the Bears played badly in their last game on purpose in order to throw off the next team that they play. =oP The playcalling on Offense was so atrocious, that is the only possible explanation.

I hope the Bears don't make it because everyone is saying they will.

The Pats on the other hand, I want them to make it... and lose, to Seattle...:mischief:

The NFC really is a crapshoot, honestly. Atlanta and New Orleans are probably the best overall teams, but I need to have faith in mah Bears.

I can agree to that. :goodjob:

I predict Saints vs. Patriots. Patriots I am sure of. Saints, not so much. It could be Saints, Eagles, or even the Falcons. (I know I'm going to be blasted for that last one, but I still think they have a reasonable chance.

Isn't "Mike Martz is their offensive coordinator" an equally decent explanation?

You sir, are my new best friend! The Bears have been underestimated literally all season long. I can't wait wait for them to show everyone up in the playoffs!
