We went on a school trip to Barcelona when we were 15, and saw an ice-cream company called "Frigorifico!" It was awesome! ...Frigorific, in fact.

We also saw a guy pull up to the side of our bus when it was parked in a car park, open the door, and start whacking it while smiling at us. That was pretty funny too. And a little scary.

Those crazy Spaniards! (Oh, that's another thing... never call a Mexican "Spanish", even if they're currently speaking Spanish, have a Spanish name, never told you they're not Spanish.... ) This is the extent of my knowledge of Spanish-speaking people.

Also, The n*gger word, in portuguese, is very common (negro) and not rude to anyone. So an ice-cream with this name would naver have to be recalled. Remember that are people that makes word bad ones.
For me at appears to be nonsense to assimilate other countries ignorances.

If it matters to anyone, in Poland we have a chocolate bar which literally translates to "N*ger Black Chocolate" >.<

Also in Poland the word "N*ger" is slang for gangster. So you could go up to one of your friends who happens to be wearing an oversized white shirt today and say "wow you look N*ger today" or something. The black minority in Poland does not mind it at all. Why is it only in America and England this happens?

It's explicitly a relic from the time of blackface, which was inherently racist.

And uh, you can't really compare nogger, niggardly, and niger. Niger comes from the same root word as the N word - niggardly and nogger don't.

More to the point, I think South Park got it right - it's a good thing that we don't see it (blackface relics) as racist anymore, as we havn't been exposed to it. Still is a good thing if it's gotten rid of, though.

...because of the history the word has in English? The same reason why the F word in english isn't as powerful in Polish, or a polih curse word isn't as powerful in english?
