The only difference between that and the Great Lakes is a different shade of blue It's the same shade of blue as the Great Salt Lake, for whatever reason they made that difference.
Presumably it's because the Great Lakes are full of the ghosts of French fur-trappers, whose moroseness towards their aquatic purgatory give the water a deeper tinge than usual.
