NOTW LIII - Return to Ciretako [Game Thread]

Sigh... did someone roleblock me last night? It's either that or Flip Hero's team has some way of killing through protection, and I really would like to know why my protection ability didn't work last night and why Winston's dead.

I roleblocked you based on my suspicion of you yesterday.

If Choxorn is right and Spaceman is merely pretending to be a role-blocker, then Spaceman is obviously scum. You'll notice that Spaceman didn't offer that he'd blocked Choxorn until "someone" had to have done it. What's more, if Spaceman really is a role-blocker, then either there's more than one scum or Choxorn is not scum. However I rather suspect that at least one of you is scum.

Vote: Spaceman.

No one vote for the massacre weapon.

Why. I really don't get why you'd let an item go to waste, especially if it's something that likely gives whoever has it a nightkill. (I'm assuming it came from the SK with a name like that.)

Anyone can use it, so give it to someone that appears to be most villagery. (See Coyosis/Choxorn)

It's a win/win situation so long as it isn't really a scum we're giving it to.

I'm fine with the Spaceman lynch.

I'm fine with the Spaceman lynch.

It's not needed to solve the game.

Whoever wants the item might want a strength boost, or extra kill, or extra power.

We don't need extra powers. We have the lynch. That is our power.

It is the best power. There is nothing else village needs to win.

But, wolves might want a little something extra added to their list of abilities or strength.

Because wolves may not win the game with the lynch. Maybe they need something extra, to override our powers, or remove our powers, or block our powers, or kill through protection, or other such happy horse manure.

It isn't villagery. And suppose we do give it to a villager who we think is the greatest villager, and that villager dies.

What then?

We vote it to someone less trustworthy the next day, and so on, until it ends up in the hands of those who will use it to win the game.

Unless of course we lynch them all first, yes? Then, no problem, right?

Most assuredly. If we solve the game before the bad guys get it, we're great.

So, then. Why do we need it?

If it may make it harder for us to achieve our very simple objective of lynching evil things, I say let no one ever have it. Let it be discarded, and never utilized, or worried about, or ever factored in.

I also said don't discuss why.

People need to have a tiny bit of faith in my ability to explain myself in time, and work with me as a team.

Okay, so my reasoning literally relies entirely on my theory that it is a nightkill for the person who gets it. But that literally gives us an EXTRA LYNCH. Do you realise that 2 for 1 is so much better for us than 1 for 1? If we get to the point where there's no one we 100% trust, then sure, let it die THERE.

But why waste a chance to get a leg up?

And the villager only dies if Spaceman isn't Scum Roleblocker. Which, admittedly, is quite possible. Then there's the possibility, not very high, that he's town roleblocker and then the doctor is fine. Then it comes down to doc-save/wifom.

You're giving up a possible advantage just on the theory that you think you have every possibility worked out. I respect your play immensely Pizza, but newsflash, not everything happens as you think it will.

Not everything happens as you think it will, either.

If the item is destroyed, it cannot be stolen, or used against us, or used to misfire and kill a villager, or used to convert a villager just by picking the item up with the best of intentions.

Let's just say, I respect our host enough to know that he will offer me a cookie jar once in a while that I should not take cookies from.

The guns are useless to the village afaict and they're red.

Items such as upgrades and so forth, the evil team is going to want.

What does village get? We've got scanners, a roleblocker, a doctor, and that's just the ones I know about.

We have what we need. And the lynch.

Whatever that thing is, we don't need it, and it is dangerous.

Play it how you want. Be careful what you vote for, you just might get it.

I rarely trust anyone who I can't be sure I'm on the same team as. :king:

How else does village destroy the evil team except by cooperation and working together, in spite of a lack of perfect knowledge?

I said I'd address it before end of day today, and you decided that wasn't good enough. Thanks very much.

Does Visor play with alignment change items and the like as a habit? It's not something I usually see, but if it's something he's prone to do then I plead narrator knowledge lack. If there IS a possibility something like that will turn out, well then I can see why we wouldn't want it.

Erm. Yes, guns might be useless to town (How sure are we of that anyhow?) but this weapon literally says in the narration (ANYONE CAN USE). That puts up a statement that everyone can use it.

And I'm sure there was town that could use upgrades. I don't remember entirely clear but Backwards mentioned something of the sort. Upgrades are for all non-vanilla roles so far as I can understand.

We do it always suspecting each other. Usually there is only one or two town people the rest trust, and they work together around that. In this case, Choxorn's doc claim makes sense, but I still don't trust you.

And duh. "TRUST ME" is my least favourite line. You're with-holding information for no reason so far as I can tell. What reason is there for town NOT to know the above info?

Spaceman seems to be the convicted wolf right now, let me look a bit and I'll get back to you on that.

You can't tell me right now, without doing any re-reading, who your top 3 suspects are and who your top 3 villagers are?

Villagers: Jarrema, choxorn, arakhor

Wolves: Spaceman98, Reidquat, you

This isn't hard, man.

Askthepizzaguy
Choxorn
Arakhor
Coyosis

Jarrema - Lieutenant
BSmith

Riedquat
Bladescape
Spaceman98

... I'd rather have an informed decision.

If I were to go off the top of my head, I would say Choxorn/Arakhor/Reidquat for villagers, Spaceman/Jarrema/(Coyosis/Bsmith) for mafia. This is in the world where Spaceman is mafia.

If Space ISN'T, however, it looks more like: Choxorn/Arakhor/Jarrema for town, Pizza/Reidquat/someone. Coyosis/Bsmith were both town-feeling earlier on but their complete lack of.. any content really has made me mellow to their actions.

I got a question for you though. Why Reidquat/Space? Unless Space was 100% sure he was going to be lynched today as a wolf there isn't much reason he'd start day by trying to bandwagon a teammate.

Forgot Coyosis for a second. She's stunningly villagery.

Stunning in general. Loverly.
