NOTW XL: Return of the Baron (Game Thread)

It's convenient that civplayah said he was going to scan you last night.

I didn't even know he was/claimed to be a scanner until you said so a few posts ago.

And you're so sure Seon is innocent, too. Rule: Don't defend people you don't know are innocent.

I smell a whiff of something. Either you're working with Seon and this is coincidental, or civplayah made a boo-boo and revealed a connection to you, who happens to be scummily defending Seon.

When did I say I thought Seon was innocent? I'm not working with him or defending him, I just think cpdwane is a lot more scummy.

Before I start busting out my Hammer of Justice, maybe you want to explain to me who the heck you people really are. Otherwise I'm getting dangerously close to latching on with my teeth and not stopping until you're both deader than disco.

Alright, alright, you caught me. I'm a member of the secret order of Trapeze Artists, dedicated to protecting the sacred art of trapezing.

But seriously now, I don't know what the heck you're talking about.

I just explained it to you. If someone who is a lying scumball tells me he's going to scan you, after he just "scanned" me, what's the plan? The plan is, get me to reveal stuff I shouldn't, to the bags of scum, and then also, reveal certain people are "innocent" who are not, so that I might not vote for them.

I also noticed a big wagon appear out of thin air on classical_hero because there was one on Seon. I really gotta know, why people are so sure Seon doesn't need to die. Now I have a scum who is trying to "clear" you in my eyes with fake scans. It's just all adding up to be a series of coincidences or a trail of blood and lies that leads directly to your doorstep, choxy.

Must be because of my charm :king:

More likely: SEON = SCUM, in 4 steps!!! LOOK AT THIS PROOF UP IN THIS TENT, FO SHIZZLE!!!

Seon = fake spelling for Sean
Sean = Dude who needs to be scanned
Scan = Fake, because civplayah was a scummy scammer
Scam = TRUTH because scammers are scummers
Scum = SEON!!!!

And now I've tied civplayah, choxorn, and Seon all together. It's clear to me now that you're all guilty.

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Someone give pizza the pills he's supposed to take before bed… they're the little yellow ones.

Southern King you've been awfully quiet, busy tending to your cultist flock?

I'm willing to go with choxorn for now just for the hell of not forming a bandwagon, although to be honest going with Seon seems like the best idea overall.

Why don't you follow up on that idea then, Camikaze?

And what would that victory condition be?

Interesting.

Well, civplayah claimed to me that he was some kind of innocence/guilt scanner, who had "conveniently" scanned me night one.

That was probably fake fake fake, he seemed to get upset when I mentioned I had already been scanned by someone else claiming to be a scanner, and that I wouldn't reveal who that person was, because I don't trust TWO scanners. That doesn't seem balanced.

So, I was probably right. civplayah was a scumbag trying to form a network with me and gain information, with fake detective claims. The purple tells me all I need to know about his alignment, it wasn't townie or circus.

YAY ME for not revealing the other scanner. I freaking rock.

Also, Seon must die.
An angelic being warning us of cultists, found crucified with his throat slit makes you think they were scummy? Who killed him? It certainly wasn't the werewolves and his death looks more like whatever killed landlubber night 1, very ritualistic. It was probably the cultists that killed him and the werewolf.

It was then that a man wandered into town and began, strangely enough, to sing.
"Well, Ya got trouble my friends,
Right here in River City.
With a Capital T, which rhymes with C,
which stands for cultists!"

People joined in and had a rousing musical number. Finally, the song ended and someone said "So what, you think we should get a Boy Band?"
"Well, you could try 'NSync, but I think angry lynch mobs might be more effective." replied the man, and he took off, with a blur of wings that the others hadn't noticed before.[/CENTER]

Nothing about this seems like a scum character. What makes you so certain he was? An innocence/guilty scanner sounds about right for an angel to have.

I still think the evidence points to Seon after the night's events. His assumed power in page 1 seems like an Angel of the Balance thing, and I believe we're mostly agreed Angels of the Balance are Scum in this game.

Here's what confusing me at the moment:
Angel of the Balance!!!
The Balance? What is the Balance? And why are we divided into 'Town' and 'Circus', other than to fit into the story? Why is there a separation between the two groups, and is this what 'the Balance' has to do with?

That is indeed a puzzler but I'm inclined, like choxorn, to think this is not an innocent group.

Well Skooma has a point, he says there's werewolves and cultists and those are probably the bad guys.

I do know that town and circus are the good guys. So when I see purple, and town and circus are not purple, I think to myself "that thing was not a good guy".

Maybe Angel of the Balance was a neutral, or a serial killer, or some kind of special role. No clue. Not a clue. But I'm not going to trust anything in purple, unless they come find me and talk to me immediately so I don't think they're trying to hide from the sunlight.

If they're looking to avoid being thought of as evil, it would be nice if they stepped forward and came to talk to me, because I can guarantee you after revealing I've been scanned already, I am not going to be surviving much longer. It's low risk, come and get it.

Is it a cult faction, maybe?

I think Skooma mentioned that the angel was here to warn us about the cult.

It's possible I have this all wrong. It's also possible the angel is the cult, and warning us about the cult is just part of the story/their cover.

I have no idea. These are questions we will get answers to in short order, however, because the instant a cultist dies, it will be very clear whether or not purple is cult.

Indeed. We'll just have to wait and see...

It'd be nice if Renata could confirm if what Seon said to her links into what APTG is saying. I'm inclined to agree that the Angels of balance are anti town, or at the very least are against either one of the innocent groups from winning (as their name would suggest,) so a lynch on Seon, if he's looking likely to be an Angel of Balance, certainly seems like the way to go.
