NOTW XLVIII -- The DOOM Project, Episode II: The Orphans of Oblivion [Game Thread]

I would prefer to investigate the monster sightings in Bogota right now.

Do we have suspects for anything yet? No? Then No Lynch.
I would bet, but I have no credits.
No bet for you. Come back. One year.
Assthepizzaguy reporting for duty, sirs.
You sound like an SCV, really.
I am the new Takhisis. Except my spam is even worse than his spam. I absorbed his spamming powers along the course of several conversations we had on fiftychat. :mwaha:
Burn the pretender! None shall usurp Taki's throne of spamming! :p
Pretender and heretic. But I have no throne, I am a mere primvs inter pares, so to speak, and none shall elevate themselves above the rest, or Heaven shall strike them down, for it is UNACCEPTABLE. One million years' dungeon!

Pizzaguy scans as OPFOR and has negative discretion?? What's the point in keeping him alive, if he is not only useless, but detrimental?

I agree, Zack, I think we should take another look at Askthepizzaguy. Sure, it would take gonads made out of the crystals they use in lightsabers, but if anyone could do it, Askthepizzaguy would. And now he's given himself a convenient excuse for never being murdered AND scanning as guilty. I say that we should lynch him and that way we'll find out.

I shall not pronounce myself on this matter. However if by his actions he endangers a mission with cathastrophic result, then we should lynch him. I will stand by my earlier thoughts though and abstain.

We must take into account that Razor took part in the Tokyo mission which, against expectation, resulted in the arrest of ¿Dragon? Was it Dragon? Whatever. If this turns into a pattern, I shall reconsider my position.

You should, 'cos I'll outspam you.

We must also take into account that Razor's scan status and negative discretion were both gimmies provided to you by Razor in his opening day reveal.

Razor knows that telling you he's going to sabotage your mission by virtue of idiocy, and then arresting someone on that same mission, leads to the conclusion of hey why don't we lynch Razor.

Razor is not in the habit of destroying his own team as mafia. If you want to bet on that pony, please be advised, it's never won a single race, it has one busted leg and three missing ones, and has been on a steady diet of arsenic since birth.

Unlike the comic books, ingesting toxic poisons does not give the pony any superpowers.

Pure entertainment value. I couldn't argue it any other way, since I don't have any hidden usefulness either.

I will Move: JIRN as it is top priority.

We're set in Monaco, and Bogota should only be filled once we have enough operatives to safely conduct the Moscow mission.

As for Razor, he has done crazy things before and as such we should probably keep an eye on him. Other than that, Vote: No Lynch as we don't have any real evidence as of yet.

Pizza, you say you scan as OPFOR, is that what yours is (your ability/power whatever)?

Do you have a high discretion/strength to go with it?

 I'll get right on telling you what my strength rating is, buuuuuddy.

It's a good thing we're not lynching people, or I'd start with you.

What are we waiting for? You get the pony, I'll get the funnel.

Indeed, you're funny guy. just not the funny ha-ha type.

FoS: JoanK.

Make up your bloody mind.

Move: Sightings Investigation, Bogota

I purchase the SCUBA Rebreather

And withhold my vote for now.

I have made it up, buddy. As clearly stated before, not gonna vote to lynch Pizza until he becomes really suspicious because, say, the last X missions he has been in have involved an Operative getting arrested at the end.

Even if it was not clearly stated before, since I can express in not quite straightforward ways sometimes.

Also, that X cannot have a value of 2 or less.

Move: JINR Infiltration

I think the no-lynch gambit has outlived its usefulness. Even random voting could eliminate a threat, and by now we have some information to go on. If I remember the last game correctly, then we should be looking at individuals that were on missions that had arrests.

Here is everyone that went to Tokyo:

ATPG
BSmith
Choxorn
Classical
Dcmort
Mat
Nintz
Ravus
Spaceman
Visor
Zack

Still a lot of suspects there, but I think we can rule out Pizza for now for the reason he has already stated. I didn’t have anything to do with the arrest (you’ll just have to trust me on that one), and spaceman is obviously not a lynch target.

That leaves 8 players that we should choose from (9 if you want to include me) out of the 19 remaining operatives. Even with a random selection the odds are not all that bad.

I’ll admit I don’t have much more to go on at this point than a random choice of these 8 players, but let’s vote: Nintz.

I'm still not scum. And I hate the RNG God. :(

I think that's a bit silly. Why are you assuming that it had to be someone in Tokyo? I doubt Dreadnought would make it so easy/obvious.
