Now Is The Future!

Today at the UN, a massive rally was held supporting the 'No Nukes' policy of the world leaders. The historic vote was held on the floor and the results are just now coming through ...

1922 to DogBoy from the only civ honest enough to admit nukes are cool.
You people are all in denial!

there must be something wrong - a 1 day turn around in the game.

Game played and sent! Will be out of town for the next three days. Playing could be come a little unreliable. Will be back in action on Saturday.

Nope. Environmentalism is too expensive with islands. I didn't know frenchment were so into the trees and jungles.

1930 on its way to TimFord.

3 Space Ship Parts have been built by 1 Civ this turn. Can you guess who?

I'd bet your wrong.

Gee thx Joe - trying to slip those 3 parts past everyone and you go and blab about it on the forum. Yes, it was me ... India 2.

I would have noticed, I suspected you were going for the space victory long before you built the elevator. I assume you have been completing the parts and saving them up in the que. If that is the case how many turns before you win ruff?

Do you expect me to answer that? I would have thought that you would have a 'no space victory allowed' navy / army camped on my doorstep if you thought I was going for the space victory.

No. Of course I didn't expect you to answer that.

I didn't think I had the political capital to keep a fleet outside your boarders and have it be accepted by the community.

I'm a little disappointed you didn't have the whole thing rigged to launch all at once in a spectacular show of rockets.

All in all, if you can launch all the pieces. That will be a superbly played victory.

That would be my preference too but I don't have the required number of cities to put all 13 parts (5 casings, 3 thrusters, docking, cockpit, statis chamber, life support and engine) into orbit at the same time. I really only have 4 cities that can put together enough hammers to make it worth while.

That is true, but I like to think you had your lesser cities plugging away at those casings for 40 turns just for the spectacular send off. It's the romantic in me.

In other news, English immigrants are caught trying to sneak aboard the Stasis Module in hopes of stealing victory from India and Dear Leader Ruff.

Played my turn and sent it on. I wonder what state my nation will be in when I see it next. There are at least 13 French / American stealth bombers within striking distance of my cities that I can see - some of them in cities owned by leaders that I thought were friendly to me (Joe / 1889!). I also notice a destroyer that probably just dropped off a spy not to mention the other spies that are probably holidaying in sunny India.

good point - there is an American destroyer near by carrying an explorer but that ship was probably upgraded from a caravel.
