@nuke

Thanks for canceling the auction it was getting way out of control.

Regarding the story thread. Countries that are eliminated get their stories removed from the index.? :confused: I noticed all the Republican Spain stories are gone. :(

Also the recent Japanese and British stories are missing from the list

I think that caps are a bad idea. It should be upkeep, not a cap. A cap just cripples the smaller powers further. There should be advantages to having no or a small army.

General Honjo sat in office of his new headquarters. It was the former headquarters of the fascist warlord previously in control of Rausu. With the conquest of Rausu, Hokkaido and for the for the most part all of Japan was under his control. He sat at his desk contemplating his next moves. The conquest of Japan was easy. He was a military commander. Executing war came natural to him. Now he must re-build a nation. It was one thing to provide things for the people of Japan. It was easy to control the people when they respected him and feared his military. But following dictators is what got Japan where she was today. The Japanese people must learn to govern themselves and provide for themselves. No easy task for a nation people conditioned to obey and do as they were told.

Just then Admiral Nomura walked into the office. Nomura asked, “Did you receive offers for our ship?” Honjo said, “Well, I did receive offers from several nations. But then the nations started squabbling over who could bid on the ships. Finally they decided that the auction was to be cancelled. We are to scuttle all the ships Prohibited by the treaty.

To the World
From: Japan

To those who are interested. We are scuttling 4 Battleships, 15 Heavy Cruisers, 30 Light Cruisers, and 15 Submarines to bring our navy in compliance with the Treaty of Washington. The scuttling will take place on July 15. Those who wish to witness the scuttling should be in Tokyo by July 13. We plan to sink them in the middle of the ocean to prevent anybody from raising them from the bottom.

OOC: If you are sinking them in the middle of the ocean then why must we come to Tokyo? We can just take our own ship to the scuttling site and watch there. :p

To Japan
From Great Britain

We shall come to see that these ships are truly scuttled and and that you are not sneaking any pass us.

Orders coming soon.

@Nuke

Do you remove stories for countries that are eliminated? Or was this punishment for the spam fest my auction caused.;)

And you are still missing Japan’s newest stories.:p

Orders in

@Germanicus12

Well, how will you know where we are unless you follow the fleet from Tokyo? You are also welcome to take your own ships to the scuttling.

OOC: You give us the latitude and longitude. I am sure Japan is not stupid. :p But nonetheless we are coming to Tokyo to join your ships.

Port Cadiz

Cadet Benito Diaz stepped off of the Spanish Battleship San Esperanza and onto solid ground for the first time in quite awhile, having just returned from the Philippines. He was quite disappointed with his time spent on the ship since the Esperanza was only able to sail over, shell the Japanese positions for a day, wave to the infantry while they charged onto the shore and head for home.

Not that Diaz really wanted to be shot at or sunk but he wanted to prove his worth to his family, his brother had been a sailor aboard the Tiburón during the decisive naval battle in the civil war. The Tiburón had been sunk as the first casualty on the Nationalist side, Benito had always seen that as a sign of weakness but his parents had deemed him a martyr for the cause of Nationalist movement and as a hero of the state, when President Reynoso had deemed that victory as crucial to the current governments existence that had only further entrenched his parents ideas about his brother.

"You're not in the navy!" his father would point out "you would let the sacrifice of your brother be in vain? go protect the nation Benito!" that was his life for every day from the time he came of age until the day he signed up. he wandered along the streets of Cadiz deep in throught until he saw out of the corner of his eye a newspaper title that made him stop on his heels and spin around just to double check.

"President Reynoso murdered!"
