NukeNES02: 1890 Alternate History

No worries man, I'm not criticising...just contributing. :)
Actually, looking back at the original city placement, I should have included Aleppo instead of Muscat.

Panama canal was completed in 1914 IRL - but I'm not sure if it is here, as this timeline deviated from reality in 18th century if I remember correctly - and the idea of Panama canal has been around for a long time...
So @Nuke: Do we have a Panama Canal?

I could swear that it was built during Grants Presidnecy, or did he just plan it out and it was completed later?

Nuke has a good NES going but somethings are rather unclear.

First attempt was in 1880 under French leadership. Then they were like "lol screw this" and then the USA finished in 1914.

Guess I gotta fix my map, however, this looks like a hell of a project.

Comrades, we propose to you an offer to buy a strip of land in Panama so as to begin a great project, (will 2 eco points be enough?)

Give me my Taiwan eco center. Rawr.

Actually, if Nuke would oblige, we could just say the French finished it. :P

Up to him though.

Guess I gotta fix my map

Afterwards, when I have time, I'll fix your map too (Damascus, Venice, Budapest, San Francisco, Bangkok are missing; St.John's, Taipei, Bucharest are off; Amsterdam, Rome are still capitals - but it's better to see the updated stats first as I have no idea what the capitals of Yugoslavia and Albania are).

I really like your city icon.

But too busy now - yep, weekend night in the office :(

But you have it already...mistakenly it is southeast of Tokyo.

...

back to work now.

I've had a lot of diffrent city icons, the originals had completly white borders and if it was a capital a Red and Black Center and if a center a Blue center, heres an example, but my favorite is the current one Im using.

BTW i made a eco centre bordering between New Russia and the USSR.

No Panama Canal for you

I think knigh+ is reworking the map.

I will work on stats, try to get them today

I think knigh+ is reworking the map.

Questions:
1- Is the capital of Romania a misplaced Bucharest, or is it Constanta or some other coastal city?
2- What happened to Congo and Indonesia? They started the NES as Dutch colonies, but the Dutch are no more. So are they still Dutch as "Dutch government in exile", or did they become independent, or did they join some other colonial empire? (PS: Congo was Belgian colony IRL)
3- Is that green thing in Europe Belgium? Is its capital Brussels or Lille?
4- Ok, no Panama canal. Is there Suez canal (IRL 1876)?

Atleast tell me I ddi good with the map, feed my ego. Its to damn big! Dont let it down

You did good :goodjob:
I am actually thinking of adopting your city icon for the map I have been preparing for a future NES.

but Nuke said he preferred black spot cities, so I am adding the missing cities to the last map he posted.

The blackspots are actually rather useless, you cant put them on the coast our they just blend in. But whatever he wants, he gets I suppose.

But they take 1/10 the time it takes to make one of your icons. matter of convenience I suppose.

Actually, it doesn't take to long to make one, I use MSN paint I can make one in a couple of seconds, I understand the convience of a shorter time to make one but I also believe in Quality over Quanity

We will not sell any land in Panama. Just give it some time and maybe we will build one... The US doesnt see why Vietnam is concerned over this.

Vietnam looks to expand realtions with its Western allies, a canal in Panama could allow us to establish better embasis with our Western Friends and come to terms over your Imperialist past. We always seek to make friends and forgive past misjustices.

OOC: That is verry OOC

Knigh+

1) Misplaced Bucharest

2) Dutch in exile

3) Normandy. Capital is Antwerp

4) Suez canal is done

We will still not sell the land, but we will allow a right of passage on Panama to allow you to start construction of one, and when it is done we will operate the canal together. The US will join in on the construction soon. Will you agree?

This must be talked over with the fellow members of the Asiatic sphere, however, I do not see them rejecting such a generous offer. The people of Vietnam thank you and will contact as soon as we dicuss this with the rest of the Sphere.

After much discussion, we have agreed to accept your offer (We ask that this turn we not work on it and the next turn we begin construction. Is this acceptable)
