NukeNES02 Changing of the Guard

Steady improvement, why not have a look at some other maps to learn how draw better borders.

is anyone going to join, or is everyone going to just say I'm getting better at maps?

id stick to the map improvments :)

At least try it. The Dutch and the British can both coloniese Australia, France is in a sticky situation, so that could be fun for a player looking for a challenge. China could Expel Japan if they have enough troops. Russia could take its Place as top dog. You could be a rebellion in North or South America, or in Africa. The 3 new North America nations have massive potential. This will be a fun NES if we can get players, so just try it :)

Your alt hist is full of typos

I believe I have already claimed a nation several posts back. But I will post again, I want the United States of America.

i know, I put you in :)

@Abbadon So?

Work on the map some more, perhaps flush out some althistory, and I'll see ~desu.

*cries*

The map! It makes me cry every time I look at it! Seriously, divide all those powerblocks up and don't be afraid to go bold!

Plexus map... OK, it's better, but why that one?...

What do you mean by that?

If someone takes more nations, I'll write more ALT Histories

Ok, I'll write a big Alt History

In 1700, the world as we knew it.. changed. In 1700, British Sailor James Carr discovered the land Australia. This came as a joy to Britain, and many were leaving for Australia, and later, the East Indies. The East Indies and India became a source of conflict for Europe.

In 1723, King William III of the Netherlands, King Otto of Prussia, and Queen Maria of France signed an alliance. Fearing for the worst, King George II signed an alliance with the New Italian Republic, and King Alexander of Austria Hungry. While it only lasted for two years, it brought in 7 nations for Britain: Sweden, Poland, Greece, Israel, Saudia Arabia, The German Confederacy, and Portugal. It brought 3 nations for France: Ottoman Empire, Russia, and Spain,. In the end, the French Coalition defeated the British Axis. Peace was harsh and generous. Portugal was given land in exchange for pledging $1,000,000 Franks to France, and joining the French Coalition. Spain got Belize City and Gibraltar (Which Britain got back 2 months later), Austria got to keep her empire, Russia annexed Sweden, and Germany was united. However, Sweden, Poland, Greece, Israel, Saudia Arabia lost their Independence at the end of the war, and Italy lost half her land.

In 1741, the 30 year war began as a result for French Warships attacking Ireland. France looked to her alliance for help, but found that Britain had them in their clutches.

The French made minor gains in the first part of the war, but when Louisiana and Canada surrendered in the 1760’s, France surrendered a few years later in 1772.

Britain was busy fighting America in the revolution, and most nations were putting down rebellion, France’s Revolution was in full sway. While it started in 1775, it lasted 35 years, until Napoleon stepped up to rule France. Now, even in rebuilding, France is plotting her new Empire, but where? Australia? India? China? America? Or even…Europe?? Only time will tell….

I have a few questions.

Firstly, why did Britain find Australia in 1700? They only really went looking for it after the War of Independence. I'd just like to know what changed their mind.

Secondly, how did Israel and Saudi Arabia come about so early?

The Dutch were getting really wealthy in the East Indies, and they discovered it on accident.

Arabia was more of a Confederacy, Isreal was a rebellion.

I think its just inane babbling, so no questions here. ;) (As a hint for the future, try to actually do some research on the state of the world as of the PoD)

The Dutch were making money like madmen even in reality, but the British didn't care. At that point, they made enough from the US, and the British East India Company that they didn't really need to go looking for anything else.

As for the Israelite rebellion, how did that come about? What circumstances led to it?

You'll forgive my nitpicking, but things like this will help you flesh out the alt-hist, and that's pretty much the part that tends to interest me most in a non-fresh start NES. :p
