Odoacer pbem Fall of Rome

Took care of some business down around Wine country and up in the north. HC losses were 13 Celts, 3 Vandals. Finally, a good day for the boys in blue!

Uh oh... I don't think I ever got the next turn. Unless I deleted it by accident in a drunken stupor... always possible. :)

Um. yeah, sorry. I haven't sent the next turn out. I have limited access to my home PC due to the freeloading sister of my wife habitating in the computer room - a situation hopefully resolving itself in the near future. I've been playing civ on my work laptop which normally has not been a problem, but for some reason the last few turn of this particular game has caused civ to crash. Maybe because of the number of units? I don't know. I hope to get the game moving again in the next couple days. Sorry about the delay.

Okay. I'm happy to say the sister-in-law, after about 9 months of crashing at my home is finally moving out. And at last I was able to play my turn. And so...

Lost an HC to the far east of Wine Country. Cleared a HC east of Tournai, while offering one up for the Vandals next turn. Took out 3 Vandal HC's SW of Wine Country, losing one for my troubles.

Hey, the sister in law is out! Whoo hoo! Oops... maybe I shouldn't say that... I don't know her or anything... but if it means getting the game going, whoo hoo I say! :D

Just 1 Celt HC killed in the north wilderness, another in the south. Those VPs are close now that I look at 'em again.... but it's tough to gain much ground on those insidious Celts. We'll see!

Bombard a Visigoth with a dromon.
Take out a purple warlord who strayed too close to Lindum
Knocked off a Vandal at Tournai while waving to the Vandal troops across the river.

I'm experiencing feelings of deja vu! The save Hawklord sent - 101a is the same year as 100a - 524ad. I should be in 526ad now. They are different sizes though, so I'm thinking someone replayed the same year. I'll wait for the proper save file.

Sorry about the delay in noticing this.

Loch - do you have your turn for year 524? Hawklord should be playing year 526 now. If you don't, I'll resend 524 to you again so we can get back on track. Hawklord - didn't it strike you as strange losing two cities (presumably the same) two turns in a row?

Well no because I expected them not to be there. Couldn't remember where everything was.

I was just ragging you a bit. Hope you didn't take offense. Its tough to keep track of everything in this game, especially when slackers like me have sat on the game far too many times. :mischief:
