I had thought so until yesterday.I don't think October 2023 would be out of the question for Civ 7.
Take Two basically said that their entire organization is only going to be making 3 immersive core games in the next 10 months. Two were named in the conference call, and one is a brand new IP. The rest of their output will be mid-core games, ports, remasters, mobile games, and something they call hyper-casuals. They also listed the titles that they expected to be their best money-makers for the next 10 months. Civ was not listed.
They also noted that several of their best titles had received "extended development" this past February. Basically, delays.
Additionally, they anticipate their revenue for the next year to be roughly equal to the past year, but the year after that, it will go up by 50%. Those "extended development" titles will be coming due.
So, in my estimation, it probably was intended to come out late in 2023, but now it's delayed until mid-late 2024.
