Hey guys! Thanks to all the people who made replies to my post (with one obvious exception which I'll ignore). I'm currently in 02 basic training, which means I'm doing the shortest and least demanding basic training there is, since I'm not going to serve in any combat unit (due to my asthma). Conditions aren't too good but I've made some good friends and I only have two more weeks to go before it's over and my professional training (3-4 months course) can begin. We've also started some basic gun techniques and it turns out I'm quite good at it. Also, though we've got fairly old guns (long M16s from the early 70s) mine seems to be very reliable.
I do miss the forum, but I'm happy with the path I've chosen. There's certainly satisfaction in knowing that I'm gonna be involved in defending my country rather than just talking about it. I'll still try to post here whenever I can ofcource.
