Official Civ4 S&T Off-Topic Thread

I remember reading some strategy article awhile ago that specifically said that the AI does not take into account the power level of civs you have Defensive pacts with when deciding whether or not to declare war. Not sure if its any different in RFC though.

I guess they probably solved this. There are already several mods to the AI, they probably added this somewhere.

Sweet, then I'll have to try that. France keeps screwing up my Brazil game.

Europa Universalis IV is 75% off on steam.

Wow that was a quick sale. It ended already. I think they do lightning sales or whatever sometimes. It might be just to dick with people :p

Can windows XP run that?

If your computer is XP, it's probably too old. You should replace it.

I can't wait to get a XP for myself. There are some old games from my childhood that I really want to play and only a XP could do this without much trouble.

But yes, nobody can survive with a XP nowadays. I think the best you can find is one that supports 4 gigs of RAM, a value that a windows 8 would struggle to breath with.

I feel the same way except with a windows 98. Ahh memories.

Do you know what this is about? This seems promising, and may be what convinces me to finally buy MC
Back when I played MC, I found that, then watched a couple of people playing with it, and realized that a bajillion servers had factions, which was so similar that I deemed it unnecessary, and din't ever try to download it. :D

No nukes?

I have wasted so much time playing this game I just got. It's called Banished and is STILL on sale for 70% off on steam. If you have ever played Settlers, it's like that. Very fun. At least give it a look. Also, nukes are my life, you don't even know.

You ever play Defcon? Its all about nuclear war. Huge learning curve and only really fun in an online game but I can still get an occasional good game out of it.

My one friend was eagerly counting down the days before it released, back a year ago, had forgotten it existed until he played it today, and you said that.

Never heard of defcon, I'll take a look at that. And god Banished is so good. It's like RTS Simcity in the 1600s. If anyone here does get it, the most fun way to play is with absolutely no help or tutorials. :D

Clausewitz wrote the book on war. If you understand this pun without using Google I will love you forever.

@Spirictum: The modding community for Minecraft is amazing and vibrant. The number of modpacks you can make really is like having seperate games based on Minecraft. I can link you to some amazing modpacks and servers that showcase the amount of creativity and depth possible.

I'm considering asking MC as a birthday gift from my gf because MC is great and my birthday is on the 10th of March.

And this mod seemed really interesting. With a world incredibly larger then the Earth's surface area, imagine the possiblities :crazyeye:

BTW, searching about Minecraft Size I stumbled upon this amazing scale chart:

*Be careful! It may blow up your mind really hard! And the soundtrack helps doing this :D
