Anyone know of any restaurant reviews that essentially say "obvious money laundering operation"?

We have one cheap eatery in our local city that sells such cheap meals (£1 or less for anything) that my friends think it's an obvious money laundering operation. :)

Probably in the same way as other hair: Laser epilaton, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_hair_removal .
Will take a few sessions though.

Informed myself only quickly, because I wanted to get my beard removed (just awful to shave), but money and effort sort of prevented it.
Who the hell has a beard and wants to remove it?

I wanna go!

Someone who needs 1 hour for shaving, plucking and cleaning up, and who still gets a half ton of skin irritations afterwards.
So freakin' annoying.

Tried Grizzly Adams-ing it for a while yet?

At 2 weeks it would. At 8 months, yowza. Isn't the descriptor for 8 month full beards, erm, uh, "panty-dropping" or something?

The one time I went in there, it was surprisingly acceptable, but then I had zero expectations other than it being safe to eat!

By what parameters (other than geographical location) can Italy and modern Greece claim the heritage of the Roman Empire and ancient Greece, respectively? Is there a demonstrable continuity?

I've heard that genetically modern day Italians and Greeks aren't too different from their ancient counterparts, but don't quote me on that.

I've also heard that linguistically Italian is one of the more conservative languages in the romance family, that is relatively speaking it is closer to Latin than, say, Spanish or French. Although if I remember correctly technically it is Sardinian that is the closest to Latin.

Lastly, I have again also heard that historically, many of the city-states such as Venice or Florence claimed some sort of connection with Rome due to their republican traditions.

And, I think some groups will simply claim continuity and expect people to believe it.

*insert obligatory tangential Byzantine empire reference*

Can't you just not shave?

I'm just confused how shaving takes an hour even if you need to wear a necklace to show you where to stop. You aren't using an electric with heavy facial hair, are you?

If you're really having that much trouble shaving, get one of these;

And go with the permanent 'haven't shaved in a couple days' look:

Define heavy.
But I'd say no, not that heavy.
Main point is that my hair is soft, the razor doesn't get many of them, and I spend a half hour plucking or so.

Tried that, would even prefer that, since I like myself with a 3 days beard, but trimming just looks awful. Not like unshaved, but more like badly shaved.
:dunno:

What areas of the world would I expect people to have a low valuation of personal space?
