Oh, the weather outside is...

No handy bluebonnet pics but I can do irises at night. Taken March 30.

Saw first rainbow of the year today.

Not sure what to make of the fact it was a double rainbow....Very nice spring days coming extra early?

Sunny and mid 60s.

I got caught in the rain on my walk to work this morning but it's enough years since that last happened that I wasn't even mad. It helped that it was little more than a drizzle

It's snowing outside my window. Snow in April isn't completely unheard of around here but still...c'mon man.

BTW, I was horns waggled. I read on the website of the Phil's top newspaper that we were heading into the rainy season. They had it backwards. It's now the dry season.

Gotta love April. Went over 70 F on Monday, had to get out the snow shovel on Wednesday. The really wet, heavy stuff, some of the biggest snowflakes I've ever seen.

Edit: And just stepped outside this morning and see all the ice and I'm guessing there will be no school or at least delayed.

Edit2: School was on time (surprisingly). Some schools in the area were closed or delayed because of power outages. Wind is brutal. Feel sorry for the robins who migrated back and are struggling to fly in the sleet.

eh Zkrib... how long have you lived in the Philippines? Doesn't the rainy season happen about the same time every year? Maybe early May? just asking...;)

One would think. I kept asking the locals, but because it seemed to have been raining for a year to a year and a half. They weren't sure. Climate change has hit hard here, and no one knows what's going on. Apparently the rice farmers just lost most of their crop when the weather turned.

Remember Supertyphoon Yolanda, the strongest typhoon to ever come ashore? It occurred a month after the official ending of typhoon season.

Snowing...in April!
It happens. *shrug*

The pile of dirty snow in front of my window is mostly melted now. It's windy outside, and those are rain clouds in the sky. The Weather Network says it's 9C with a wind chill of 5C. On Thursday it's supposed to get up to 17C.

It can stay there, as far as I'm concerned. 17C is plenty.

The word of the day is incongruous, as in the snow blower and snow shovel in the below picture are incongruous with the +24C temperature we're experiencing right now. However this is Syracuse, so I'm leaving them out for at least until next month....
