Oh, the weather outside is...

You're doing an awful lot of moving about during a pandemic. Do you think that wise?

My wife is a travelling nurse, which at this time there is a high demand for her specialties: last assignment was ER Triage in northwestern Massachusetts, this assignment is in infection control on an Indian reservation. If she didn't take these assignments someone else would, as its much needed work at this point in time. By my going along this expedites her getting from Massachusetts to Arizona, meaning she stops less, and she interfaces with less people along the way.

Then you saw NM east to west and saw our Sandia Mountains and the Rio Grande. :)

Yes! :) And this was not our first trip thru New Mexico - I think the below pic was taken right near Shiprock on our way back from the Grand Canyon back in 2016 after another assignment:

... Too hot ! :/ Especially under the mask I have to spend most of my day in . I feel like a ninja ! xD I have a black hoodie and a black mask, face barely visible ... still it's getting to hot ! Driving work is an excursion ! Besides I have this nearly elderly skinny lady at work who is always cold and when everyone is sweating hot she forbids to open the window  Come to think of it this maybe should be in random rants ...

Blustering winds this morning, kinda chilly. I'd say these were harbingers of rain, but our smear of white clouds don't look dark enough. :dunno:

Adelaide has recorded its coldest April day in 12 years but there is no reprieve just yet, with a severe weather warning in place for damaging winds for parts of the state.
Adelaide has also recorded its wettest April since 1998, with more than 94 millimetres of rain for the month.

Kinda hard to tell but the thermometer was reading 118F in Mesa Arizona yesterday:

Yeah, summer is coming early to the southwest. High 80s maybe 90 today in NM.

Today is the first day of traditional Irish summer.

It's a balmy 11C/52F with hail showers.

Anything over 40 C is a curse from God.

The winter switch got flipped back on here a few days ago. At this rate we're probably not going to be clear of all the snow until late june or something.

Old man winter's not done with you yet!

So it would seem! I feel kinda done with him though :/

70-something here all week in the land of the rising sun. As long as I don’t need to run the heat or air conditioner, I’m pretty happy with things.

Typhoon #1 might be heading this way after cutting across the Philippines according to the Japanese news. I guess it’s relatively late in the year since they started keeping statistics in the fifties, but I haven’t heard it coming my way at all yet.

The last bad typhoon that hit this part of Japan, I was actually back in America visiting relatives. It was a little unsettling for me because I couldn’t check on anything for damage, but I came back and everything was alright.
