The scenario is a realistic modified huge world Marla/Singer modified map. The civs are all in the proper places and are Germany, France, England, Russia, China, India, Japan, US, Aztecs and Zulus. Zulus and Aztecs are slightly crippled to keep them from having the whole continent to themselves. I set it to Cheiftain to see how iot would flesh out. If this one gets finished then will start new one at regent or monarch.

1) 20 turns apiece

2 No nukes unless nuked or for navy battles

3) Good Luck!

Duck Von Clauswitz

Here we go....

Great German Leader Duck Von Clauswitz is made leader of the Germanic Tribe.

4000 BC -- German people move south towards the Alps to be in reach of gold supplies. Shaman say gold good.

3950 BC -- Shaman say we need direction. We research Iron Working. Establish Berlin.

3900 BC -- Workers head out.

3850 BC -- Begin road to cattle.

3800 BC -- Working. Building Warrior

3750 BC -- Barbarians appear out of Alps. Move worker to weath field to get out of range.

3700 BC -- Barbarian attacks Berlin. We lose 15 gold. Warriors upset with Duck.

3650 BC -- Warrior is built however. Start with spearman

3600 BC -- Nothing of note

3550 BC -- Worker moves to forest

3500 BC -- Germany's borders expand due to high culture

3450 BC-- Nothing happens

3400 BC -- Nothing of note.

3350 BC -- Spearman built, Warrior heads out to goody huts east of Berlin

3300 BC -- Warrior moves towards hills north of huts across the Rhone River

3250 BC -- Warrior moves to Goody huts an is ambushed by Kazakh Warriors

3200 BC -- Our warriors are strong and proud as they defeat all three tribes warriors and become elite! Worker moves to gold

3150 BC -- Berlin builds second spearman. Warrior moves across Elbe River towards next set of goody huts. French border is seen in West.

3100 BC -- Warrior loses huts to Russian Scout. We make contact with Catherine the Great and get Pottery for 1 gold every turn and 20 lump sum plus warrior code. (Duck is chastized by Elders for giving in to that deal) Spearman moves towards huts in Western Europe near France and germany gets another warrior.

3050 BC -- Spearman moves towards England.

3000 BC -- Duck Von Clauswitz meets with Elizabeth and we get Cermonial Burial for Warrior Code. Ready to build archer and Berlin is ready to grow. Time for a settler.. :) ...

whoohoo, I'd like to play, but difficulty is kinda low, I want least monach to give a bit challenge to Clauswitz.

Yes, good idea :)

I will join regardless of the level.

If there's still room, I'm interested, but preferably at Regent. Let me know.

Marc, sorry, can I be clear how this works ? I'm new to succession
games and I thought the point of 'open' games was that they didn't require you to join, merely state you were taking the save
and getting on with it. I'm not flaming, merely trying to sure that
my understanding is correct.

Actually, this is the wrong thread. This game was felt to be too low a level, so we started a new one here:

I'm pretty sure it's closed now, but you can talk to maiduck (it was his game). Personally, I wouldn't mind a fifth person, but it's up to him (he'll probably put it up to a vote).

Yeah, I found it subsequent to making my post above. My confusion was in the term 'open' - I think mauiduck meant that
it was an available (i.e. not closed) game as opposed to an OSG
which it what I thought he was referring to.

I'm happy to remain an OSG player until I can join a standard SG
from the start. I would have a greater feel for what's going on then. Thanks for replying anyway. :goodjob:
