or a good NK NES would be enough

I'm afraid we're out of stock on that one, however, numerous poorer, cheaper models have surfaced from time to time...

My NES is still running MjM.

On second thought, don't join it yet. I'm going to be away for a month starting next weekend.

My NES is up and running. The link is on the last page. It is similar to Lord Iggy's NES a random fresh start.

Updates come once a week usually on Saturday with orders being due Friday.

I am not looking for long orders either :).

@MjM- It was temporarily closed due to a spamfest (or at least that was the charge) but was reanimated a few days later.

JalNES is up and running, and was recommended by NK in his sig. That count?

Actually, don't join yet, since I have no clue if I'll be able to keep it going. Join FarowNES02.

IsrNES4: Novus Ordo Seclorum is in the preview and reservations stage. This is a semi-continuation of IsrNES2: Cities of Glory, but the world has changed dramatically. The starting date is 450 BCE. There are many nations, both powerful and potentially very fun, nations are available. Here is a non-exhaustive list (though it is close):

First Tier Powers (In their region):

1.) Tamnese Empire- East Asian super trader and naval power with great political might.

2.) Mutalan Empire- Mesoamerican military and cultural power that is stong now but has even more potential.

Secon Tier Powers (In their region):

1.) Kingdom of Han- Legalist China, not much for trade and not the greatest militarily, but they have a near perfect balance in power.

2.) Kingdom of Qi- Chinese. Small but mighty. Incredible economic power but little military power.

3.) Kingdom of Joseon- A traditional power that has fallen on bad luck, they are still contenders and can easily rise again.

4.) Mamlaka of Arabia- Commercial power in the Persian Gulf, they are already rich but will grow only richer if Mesopotamia is united as one trade partner.

5.) Latin Union- Rome, but drastically different. The rising antithesis to the Lombards, they have great potential even if they are hemmed in.

6.) Lombard League- A traditional power that has lost much of that power. They are still strong and a dominating player.

7.) Muskogean Confederation- Very important religious and cultural center as well as a minor economic player.

8.) Karankawamul- A strong commercial power, they are restricted by Kaan, but it has potential.

9.) Zapotec Empire- A strong military power and a secondary commercial power in control of important territory.

Other Nations That I Would Find Fun:

1.) Gaul- Weak now, great potential and would be especially fun for the nation-builder type player.

2.) Chola- On the edge of civilization, they have many avenues of expansion with little interference but still challenges. Again, fun for nation-builders.

3.) Sinhala- See Chola.

4.) Any of the Japanese Nations- The politics of the region are very interesting and there is great potential power if the Nipponese Empire is united.

TNESI: The Glorious Mysteries is now open. Joining it may be the best decision you ever make. ;)

There are some good openings right now. In Europe, the Prague Confederacy and the Tsardom of Galicia are excellent mid-range nations.

The Incan Empire is a very strong North American power.

And in Asia, the Gilanid Shahdom of Persia and Vijayanagara are both open as well.

There are also numerous smaller NPC's.

INES I only has ten players, and more than twice that many NPCs. In hopes of luring in more players, I present strategic analysis of some of the NPCs.

Lusitania-

Located on the Iberian penninsula, Lusitania has few rivals in the area, except for Gaul, to the north, in civil war, and Icosium, to the east, involved in a war with Rome. Lusitania, while weak now, has great potential, and can easily take advantage of either situation, to rise to greatness. It has already signed an alliance with Rome against Icosium, but troops have yet to be commited...

Lusitania is now taken!

Minoa-

A newly reborn nation, that clamed its independence from Greece during the Epiran War, Minoa is now part of the Hellenic League, and is quite secure in its holdings of Crete and Cyprus. In years past, Minoa ruled a vast trading empire, stretching from Corsica to Phoenecia. Now, almost all of that is gone, but Minoa has its independance again, and independance carrys with it new possibilities. In the peace treaty with Athens, Minoa is to recive Malta, next turn. Who knows what other former possessions it will reclaim?

Dilmun-

Another newly born nation, Dilmun is composed of allied Arab tribes. As of yet, it is weak, but with a superior trading position, as well as a sea of Arabian deserts to the west to conquer, this nation has a great number of possiblities for its future.

Bengal-

In India, this nation has just lost the Three Princes' War. However, that does not mean it is defeated. Burmese lands to the east await to be claimed, and the behemoth that is Mohenjo-Daro is busy in the west...

Cambodia-

An isolated nation in south-east asia, Cambodia has a great deal of expansion space, a has a position that will allow it to influence both China and India, once it matures...

Zhou China-

The northern of the two empires of China, Zhou is an ancient and slumbering behmoth. It has been led by uninspired leaders so far, but has a good position for economic growth, or for expansion.

Any interesting NESes that have a room for a player right now? 'Cept fresh starts.

My NES has long updates, a regular updating schedule, and is severely lacking in players. Dilmun might be crazy enough/ isolationist enough for you, but there are plenty of other good choices avaliable.

The Incan Empire is a very strong North American power.

:p

I rather doubt Cleric would like INES, btw... Anyway, don't worry, your NES will inevitably gain more players as it goes, just keep updating it for now, okay? ;)

Its not a fresh start...(technically)...:(

IsrNES4 isn't a fresh start, it starts at 450 BCE and has nations already wel established, including at least one "superpower" that is still open. Although, given its you, I doubt you will join.

I call fresh starts anything that has pointy sticks but aint medieval.
