Wars of Warcraft: Month 11
Peace Returns to the North. - After last years border skirmish between Quel'thalas and the Amani Empire no more action has been seen this year. However rumor of Anasterian Sunstrider unleashing a weapon of great power has been spreading through Quel'thalas, the Amani Empire and Lordaeron. Wether the rumors are true or not it has everyone a little cautious.
Stromgarde Keep Falls! - While the heroes of Stromgarde were busy fighting a large group of Vilebranch trolls this year Hexx led a small group on a lone ship to the castle of Stromgarde itself. The one destroyer was small enough, and with the magic of Hexx, was able to slip past the Stromgarde fleet of only five frigates. When the trolls landed they immediately laid seige to the great human Kingdom and overwhelmed the unprepared small force defending it. Hexx was the only shaman there for the trolls and hunted down the mages herself. She encountered five at once at one point in the battle and was almost overpowered, however the shaman called upon the elements which quickly came to her aid. Sending rock, wind and pieces of the castle walls flying at the mages opposing her, their arcane wasn't strong enough to battle the elements and fell soon after they engaged her. Before the defenders were forced to retreat into the country side they were able to inflict some what of a toll upon their attackers, but it wasn't enough to hold their beloved castle.
(Stromgarde: -12 mages, -8 archers, -12 warriors. -250 gold, -200 lumber per turn.
Vilebranch: -10 axe-throwers, -15 warriors. +level Hexx, +250 gold, +200 lumber per turn.)
Retherokk the Berserker Leads Great Defense. - With the shaman leader of the Vilebranch tribe gone the defense of the Vilebranch lands fell upon Retherokk the Berserker this month. Scouts telling Thoras Trollbane that Hexx had left led Thoras to order an all out assault upon the capitol once more of the Vilebranch. They ran through a few patrols and left no troll alive to report back and warn those in Jinth'alor. However guards on the walls of Jinth'alor saw the humans approaching quickly and alerted the others of the oncoming attack. When the humans approached the walls they heard the bellowing roar of the berserker, then spells began to fall down upon them. Before the humans could even breach the walls they had lost a good number of their archers to the rocks and lighting raining down from above. Finally the walls were breached leading to a brutal bloody battle. Retherokk ripped a knights horses head clean off before crushing the man's skull with just one hand. It was obvious he was targeting the knights only and Danath decided to charge the berserker. Danath gave the giant troll a good battle, but not until he had already slain a majority of the knights. Thoras, who was engaged with a couple troll warriors, moved away from the action and realized they were losing badly. Before he could order the retreat more trolls attacked him forcing him to delay the retreat even further or be cut down himself. After a futile attack the humans finally regrouped and retreated, leaving many of their friends corpses within and around the troll city.
(Stormgarde: -60 warriors, -7 knights, -40 archers. +1 level all heroes.
Vilebranch: -15 warriors, -5 axe-throwers. +1 level Retherokk.)
Gnomes Continue Progress! - This year the Gnomes have continued to make progress as they blast out the mountain from which they live westward. Though they had a few minor setbacks this year as a clumsy gnome fell victim of a collapse in one of the caves they've been digging out, the young gnome miscalculated the safety distance for his explosives and was trapped under the rubble for two days before being saved. Other then that there has been nothing but good news brought to the ears of the high tinker!
Battle of the Searing Gorge. - The Dark Scar Clan, fresh off of last months victory, have begun to push outward from the mountain into the city of the Searing Gorge which was recently acquired by the Dark Iron Clan. It was a slaughter the orcs charged into however, as they were unprepared for the number of Riflemen in the city to defend it. They held the high ground atop the walls, and with only two catapults at the orcs use the dwarves easily picked apart the initial charge. Once the catapults arrived the walls were damaged easily and the remaining orcs poured into the city itself only to be met by a large group of dwarf warriors. The remaining riflemen focused downt he catapults and spearmen from a distace as they looked to climb ontop of the buildings and structures inside the city. After a long battle Kash'drakor ordered his troops to fall back to the mountain and regroup for another attack in the future.
(Dark Scar Clan: -80 warriors, -30 spearmen, -2 catapults. +1 level Kash'drakor
Dark Irons: -30 warriors, -5 riflemen. +1 level Dagran Thaurissan.)
Dalaran Retaliates! - Dalaran mages focused their efforts this year in casting a great spell to counter the efforts of the troll shamans and their navy. With a combined force of Kul Tiras and Kirin Tor arcane, the waters were a graveyard for those who dared venture near the Stormwind harbor. Luckily for the Gurubashi they didn't send many ships out this year as they joined the major force through Stormwind city and thus had minor losses. However the spell did create a safety for the retreat of Stormwind.
(Gurubashi: -1 destroyer.)
Lothar Leaves Stormwind. - Anduin Lothar and a majority of the Stormwind military, excluding a volunteer force led by John J. Keeshan, decided this was the year they would have to leave Stormwind if they wanted to live to see the fall of the Horde. Lothar wanted to stay and fight the Horde himself, but Keeshan advised him that the people of Stormwind needed him to lead them to where ever they go and that he would take his place to defend the city. Lothar reluctantly agreed and wished him good luck while giving him their, as Lothar believed, final farewell. Dakrin volunteered to stay, but ordered the remaining Kirin Tor to head back to Dalaran as they prepared to fight the Horde.
The Fall of Stormwind. - Orgrim Doomhammer led a final assault upon the city of Stormwind. Knowing that the humans were held up in the harbor area of the city, and that the mages were in full control of the water he led his army fearlessly on foot toward the harbor. To their surprise the roads leading to the harbor were set up with booby traps all around, trapping and killing many of the orcs before they could even reach the harbor gates. Once they arrived at the gates the orcs began ramming them and hacking away trying to break through, only to stumble upon even more traps. These second sets of traps didn't kill or injury any Horde, instead it immobilized and slowed them down long enough to be easy pickings for the small force that had stayed to fight. Keeshan and his archers, along with the mage Dakrin who set the archers arrows ablaze, began thining the numbers quickly as they were forced through the choke point of the gate. Dakrin began sending bolts of arcane toward the mass slaying many orcs easily as more would take their places. This tactic lasted long enough for the few remaining ships to leave port, except the two frigates left for Keeshan and his company. Once Doomhammer emerged the group began to retreat toward the boats, but a massive tidal wave sent the boats away from the dock floating out in the middle of the harbor out of reach. Zanzil, the troll shaman of the Gurubashi, along with Mandokir had summoned the wave since the dalaran mages had stopped using their magic to counter the shamans spells. While the shamans used the elements to terrorize the now retreating party, Cho'gall ordered Khadgar to finish off the young mage that had tormented them the past year. The lich obliged as he chased after Dakrin who was attempting to teleport back to Dalaran. Interrupted during his spell, and cornered in a small house, Dakrin prepared to fight the undead fiend. Khadgar sent chilly bolts of ice and shadow at the promising mage who defended himself well while firing arcane and fire back. The two seemed to be at yet another stalemate as they tore the inside of the house apart during their duel, busted glass floated through the air, chunks of wood flung from one side of the room to the other. Then, all of a sudden, the entire house exploded in a massive erruption of wood and dirt surrounding the building. Khadgar was burried in the rubble as Dakrin was shot through one of the busted out windows and sent flying many yards away into a nearby stream. Cho'gall had sent his lich to distract the mage while he attempted to blow them both up while they were busy inside, the attempt greatly injured Khadgar while Dakrin emerged from the stream soaked and battered. As Cho'gall noticed the mage he quickly flung a spell toward the two headed ogre and ran behind another building. By the time Cho'gall recovered and checked where Dakrin had ran the mage was gone, teleported back to Dalaran safely. The same however could not be said for John J. Keeshan who was bested in battle by the ferocious Doomhammer along side Maim Blackhand and taken captive by the vile orcs.

New Home for Frostwolves. - After the conquering of Stormwind city the Warchief, Orgrim Doomhammer, ordered for the Frostwolves to stay and protect the defeated city as their own home. Knowing that Draka is soon to birth a child, and the clan was one of the few to not drink the blood of Mannaroth leaving them weaker in comparison to the other clans, this would be good for the Frostwolves.
Rise of Dragonmaw. - With the fall of Stormwind a new orc clan has risen to power calling themselve the Dragonmaw clan. This is another clan with powerful orcs trained in the magical arts by warlocks. The arrival of this clan, combined with that of the Twilight's Hammer Clan may very well be all that is needed to bring doom and chaos across Azeroth.
Small News Items.
Dragonmaw Clan: +75 Necrolytes, +50 Warlocks.
Twilights Hammer Clan: +25 Ogres, +75 Necrolytes, +50 Warlocks.

The Horde thanks our troll allies for all they have done to help us, but we require boats now. Will you continue to be of help?
OOC
@Eltain - Since there were no orders from Lord of Elves for this update I was unable to make the trade of mages for gryphon rider.
@Brougal - The Horde aren't thinking about taking anything atm especially since they have no means to fortify really, but they can have something similar to a camp in an already built up area. However when they move on they will abandon it.
