Well there's a "well-oiled machine" aspect to it, too, that basically The State is like a factory machine: it does its job the same no matter who is working it, so long as there is someone to pull the levers. Which, quite naturally, removes the importance and power of the individual holding that office; they only need not be wholly incompetent.

I would say the only president we have had tht fit this bill was Washington himself.

I think Hillary knew all about it. I think she continues to know all about it, yet she continues to be his wife. And once again, I think she likely has affairs herself. It wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Of course she knows about it. And guess what, many people do reconcile despite such infidelity, so its not uncommon. I dont think there is any solid proof of her having affairs so thats simply a guess on your part.

Care to try to prove it is false? Most of the "trailer park trash" I have ever seen in my life have been fundamentalist Christians. Of course, this is mostly due to demographics since mobile homes are far more frequently found in the South due to the warmer weather, and where the majority of the population are fundamentalist Christians.

You seem to forget that I am originally from the South, and just by happenstance, have indeed lived in a trailer park before when my wife and I were first living together while in college. My experience is that most people living in trailer parks are religiously ambivalent. They certainly arent fundamentalist, if they consider themselves christians at all they are indeed what I would call the twice a year christian. Go to church on Christmas and Easter and thats it. They still self-label as 'christian' but they dont act christian in any other facet of their life.

But like you, my information is anecdotal. I cant prove it false anymore than you can prove it true. However, I point out that the term 'trailer park trash' refers to people who dont really act christian in any way, shape or form, regardless of how they self-label themselves.

I think there's some Jefferson quote about the same kind of thing, that those want power the least deserve it the most.
