Own4 Celts 130k DG- Now Open SG

We have 35 turns invested in Alpha and it gives us curraghs. I disagree with tech switching. For a celtic rush, we need cash. A lot.

I agree we need curraghs for contacts; the rest of the tree can wait - it'll be faster through anyways if we have the contacts.

We can do with a few more players, at least one...

We should put ads everywhere on TV :scan:

Kicking this up top; Own, you'd be up if you want to go while waiting for more glorious acolytes to sign up.

BGville is now a 4 turn warrior/settler factory. I've also contacted Osman and Tokugawa, who are far ahead in tech. Some thoughts:
CXXXC spacing is ideal, so when we are ready to ICS, we can. CXXC is ok if it goes straight up and down, or straight east and west.
I think, even though in 100k you don't have to frantically build culture, a temple in each city would give us early doubling, and would add up to about 5000 culture near the end. Not bad.

Meet the power of the agricultural treat.
Nice going guys. Let me count. 3 more turnsets for 130K? :D

I think an early temple in those cities is the same 30 shields as a settler, except for the 1 pop loss (hopefully not 2 losses, with any kind of MM). Can't play tonight, will get back in touch soon.

Unless anything else comes to your minds, guys, I'd go for a food approach on the E side cities (gran/settlers/workers) and a military approach on the west (rax/warriors/spears), with a few odd workers on that side. Thoughts?

Not much of a turnlog to report. 4 turn war/settler is online, operationnal and kicking some butts. Produced workers in the W towns before they went on barracks. Workers are needed badly, and although we'll need all the land we can grab, once towns get corrupted from 75 over to 50%, I'd be for a gradual switch of all granary'ed hands from settlers to workers. We'll have 3 very able settler pumps soonish, but workers ...

We've got alpha by ourselves and, atm, Japan has a monopoly on writing. They won't trade it to us right now, so I suggest we put some beakers in it and hope for eventual trade value when we are rich enough to buy it and re-sell.

It should be easy to MM wheaty city to complete its setler on growth.

And here's a little gift, kindly, from my chest to you guys:

which is another reason to pull out workers whenever you can see an opening for some odd micro that could pull one out of whichever city. This is also the land we must hurry up grabbing before both known neighbors jump on it.

It’s probably me, but in 130K game without a single temple whipped I feel uncomfortable…

Do we need all those granaries? Just a thought.

Whoops I’ve messed the factory. Sorry, will build a barracks later to reset it. Spot yellow borders.

Workers and curragh built.

In order to get the 4 turn factory in Camu, the game forest must be chopped. That’s what I’m doing. Pink border in the SW. Contact in 2 turns.
BGville is set to build settler with the extrashields at size 7. Don’t forget to set it to a wonder so the shields from forest chop in 4 turns go to Camulodunum. Than irrigate the game. Wheaty City needs mining to settler factory. We need some military.
Not my best turns. Have fun.

Alright Ansar, that's it, you posted, so you're in ;)

Then you're up, IstariAsuka
Any shorter version of that name you want to go by?
