CFC Historian
Based on the PzKpfw-IVF1 (short-barreled) model made by Snafusmith, The Coyote modified the model with a longer barrel to reflect the up gunning of the Pz-IV to the 75mm KwK 40 L/43 gun. I then retextured the export versions to each specific nation that used this tank in Paint Shop Pro.
In March of 1942, the next variant PzKpfw-IV, the Ausf F2 was produced, followed by Ausf G in May. Some 1,687 of these 23 ton tanks were acquired by ten separate orders, issued to Krupp-Gruson, Vomag and Nibelungenwerke. Ausf F2 and Ausf G variants were based on the long version PzKpfw IV chassis and were armed with newer and more dangerous 75mm KwK 40 L/43 gun. When encountered in North Africa, British nicknamed Ausf F2 (and early Ausf G) - "Mark IV Special", since it was superior to any American or British tank at the time.
At the start of the summer offensive in Russia, late in June 1942, approximately 170 Ausf F2 and Ausf G were with units at the front. This number had increased to 841 PzKpfw-IV (long-barrelled) with Army Groups Center and South, at the start of the Kursk offensive in 1943.
The PzKpfw-IVG was perhaps the most widely exported tank from Germany... being shipped to allies to bolster their defenses and to potential allies to sway them to the Axis. Nations outside Germany which received the Pz-IV included Spain, Hungary, Finland, Turkey, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Syria.
All needed files are included in this download, including unique skins for each nation. This first pack includes skins for Germany, Finland, Hungary, Spain & Turkey. The German and Finnish skins are grey (Finland with a winter "whitewash" over it)... Hungary, Spain and Turkey come in varying shades of green.
Link your XML nif files to "PzKpfwIVAusfG.nif" and your Animation files to "PzKpfwIVAusfF.kfm". Do not delete the "PzKpfwIVAusfF.nif" file (it is needed, just don't point any XML to it).
