Amazing how people keep on complaining. Simply amazing.
Yeah, I like the different yields a lot. It sounds like it'll add a little variety.
It's just the names . . . not a stretch from there to "Lost City of Atlantis" and such . . .
For me the fun is suspension of disbelief. Silliness like that subtracts from that kind of fun.
Your point is valid as some of these new wonders and changes seem OP and add more luck to the game.
So we're all going to start pilgrimages of our units to the Fountain of Youth?
LAME!
4 Gigabyte... I think you are downloading the whole game.
Like micromanaging unit movement wasn't tedious enough, so we're now going to move as many of our units near to this fountain of youth - with more 1UpT goodness.... hahahahahhhh.... this is so uber-ironic, they need to invent a new word to describe itFountain of Youth makes units that have been next to is heal at double rate for the rest of the game
All of you complaining about Cerro Potosi, Fountain of Youth, and El Dorado... You did note the bit in the patch info about NW rarity, right? They will not appear in all games, nor even most games.
If you have powerful locations which are rare you're inducing substantial elements of random luck into the game. Increasing the production, etc. of cities won't be enormous (although, for instance, 5 science at the start of the game is a lot). Adding unique abilities to all units, on the other hand, is pretty clearly overpowered; your entire gameplay will be very different.

That's a fair point. I only wish they allocated that software engineer who implemented the new natural wonders, to fixing Civ V so it doesn't suck quite as much HW resources. All you have to do is change two lines in one XML file and El Dorado and the Fountain of Youth will never appear on a random map...I've already done it.
Haven't you been the one who claimed them being intended to "improve the gameplay"?
And now it is good that they don't show up each time?
I really can't follow your pre-patch and post-patch line of arguments.
You had multiple trys including verify local cache. Personally I would delete local cache and redownload the lot. Ok its 2/3 hours to do it .... but you should get a clean full download with no more messing around.
Go to Library, right click the Civ Icon, select Properties, then delete local cache
.... then watch a movie on ITunesIf it does not load cleanly, I suggest you repost on the Technical Forum.

Once again: That comment was discussing the National Wonders. It was written in response to a question about national wonders. I feel we already went over that in a different thread.
Once again, please do not put words in others mouths. I understand you wish to find fault with Civ, but please go about this in a more adult manner, rather than trying to flame others. Thank you.![]()
