Aha... I loaded the graphics via the biq.
But when I loaded the game, it reverted.

About the terrainpack:
Installation Instructions:
1) After you download the file, unzip it using WinZip (www.winzip.com). You will see a folder, a .BIQ file, and a README file. Example: "Sn00pys Terrain (C3C).biq" and a folder named "Sn00pys Terrain (C3C)".
2) Copy or Move them to the Civ3 Conquests "Scenario" folder, which is located at "C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios" by default. That's all!
3) To play Civ3 using the Snoopy terrain graphics you just installed, on the Civ3 Conquests main menu screen select "Civ Content" and load the snoopy terrain modpack from the list.
4) Happy Civing!

I did that, and a new game starts with the new graphics.
However, as soon as I load an old game the old graphics seem to be reloaded with it.
Is there a trick to load both old game and new pack?

problem solved.
I read a little further, and overwrote my \art\terrain folder.
Now I have permanent goodies,
but am waiting for the crash

I cant remember how i did it personally, but i do remember that you need to overwrite the original art files.
