PBEM Minor League (2010)

- Humans gifting cities (outside peace terms) should only occur if it makes sense (it can be vetoed by other players)
I have conquered and liberated the two Ukranian cities under the Australian rule. I hope that this is fine with everybody.

A message from the African Alliance:

We are deeply concerned by the Brazilians' declaration of war against the Australians, including the use of nuclear weapons against the Australian troops in the Ukraine. While we do not condone the Australian invasion of Ukraine, the use of nukes is the worst possible response, bringing about the deaths of millions of Ukrainian citizens. More concerning however, is the ultimate war declaration between two world super powers. There are more nuclear weapons at play, and we do not wish to see more countless deaths of innocent civilians.

We are currently remaining neutral in this conflict, however between between these two powers on the map, will be keeping a close eye on troop movements in our surrounding area. Any movement by either party that can be taken as a sign of incoming attack against the Alliance will be met with our swiftest and harshest response. You have been warned.

We would encourage both sides to work towards a peaceful resolution to end this needless bloodshed, and bring the needed response towards the peaceful people of the Ukraine.

Hercules90 we are waiting for your turn!

Just for clarification. These were the Antarctic explorers that Brazil used as an excuse to launch an attack on Australia, not just the attack in the Ukraine but on Sydney. Reducing Sydney via 3 tactical nukes to ground zero.

This is the second time that Brazil has attacked Australia without provocation: in the first instance where Australia was pursuing the last outpost of the Independistas in the artic ocean.

Will the rest of the world stand by while Brazil commits these atrocities.

As previously stated - Japan is remaining neutral

Brazil - Australian War
This war came unexpectedly and has shocked the Asian Nation deeply. Two major powers going to war is of major concern for the Pacific region. Having suffered much losses in the War in China, Japan can not afford to once again engage in hostilities and further declares its neutrality in this conflict. No military ships will be permitted to enter Japanese waters and doing so may cause a significant diplomatic affront.

Resolution: Japan declares its Neutrality
We are saddened by the civilian lives lost due to the nuclear attacks and ask all nations to refrain from their use in this conflict, having still not recovered from them either.

Japan offers to send our nuclear clean up crews (humanitarian aid workers) to affected cities to help with their rebuild.

This is clearly a montage!

Why would anyone send poor Workers to the Antartic? Why was this transport trying to sneak it's way to the Atlantic instead of following the usual trade routes?

But even if that was true (which I seriously doubt), what about the transport going up via the shores of Africa? And what about the Transports slowly getting close to Brazilian shores in the Pacific? Easter Island was already in range for a while now.

It was clear that Australia was mounting up some kind of plan against Brazil. The cold war was just a first sign. They were just unlucky that it was Brazil that got the first strike. The first strike was able to disable (or at least delay) their plans.

The first war was just a tactical strike against the local offender, as a statement that we mean business. Now... we are not holding anything back.

[Why would anyone send poor Workers to the Antarctic? Why was this transport trying to sneak it's way to the Atlantic instead of following the usual trade routes?]

It wasn't sneaking it's way. It was exploring the opportunities in the Antarctic region for possible sites of scientific interest.

[what about the transport going up via the shores of Africa?]

As the world knows Australia has been the champion against corrupt regimes: the last site at that time of the corrupt Independista was in the Artic region. Australia was chasing that regime down.

And what about the Transports slowly getting close to Brazilian shores in the Pacific?

As Brazil well knows, Australia was in a war with Europe which many suspect was fuelled by Brazilian influence. Those islands, now Brazilian were European colonies and their capture by Australia hastened the European war against Australia to an end.

In summary, Australia has and will continue to wage war against corrupt regimes. Sadly the once admired Brazil has sullied its global reputation.

The African Alliance would like to speak out against the continued use of nuclear weapons by Brazil against Australia. This is completely unacceptable. We thought the world had moved past the use of these deadly weapons. Many more millions of innocent lives were now taken. Continued use of nuclear weapons by Brazil must be stopped!

Japan is preparing to specialist radiation clean up crews to Australia to help with the Nuclear fallout.

A public message from the African Alliance to the leader of Brazil:

Remove all of your ships from within 10 tiles of our coast immediately, or be prepared to be destroyed. This includes the stealth destroyers, we can see them. Also, if there is one more spy used against us in the future, we will declare war against you, no matter who the perpetrator is. We believe it is you who is doing it. Right or wrong, you will suffer the consequences.

Australian Nuclear Fallout Cleanup

Japan having offered specialist nuclear fallout crews, is pleased to announce that Australia has accepted our offer and we will be dispatching them soon. Their role will be limited to simply fallout cleanup and no other infrastructure duties (farms and roads rebuilding, etc.). Once that is completed they will be returning to Japan.

Yes Australia welcomes this assistance and hopes that if necessary that clean up help will extend to Darwin and Melbourne as well as Sydney.

You are cranky today, aren't you?

This includes the stealth destroyers, we can see them.
I know! In fact, the reason we have so many SD's is because of Africa! Brazil had a few but when we realized the number that Africa had... that's when we started focused on them!!! But we can see yours so it is without a surprise that you can see ours!

Also, if there is one more spy used against us in the future, we will declare war against you, no matter who the perpetrator is.
Someone will use spies against you, sooner or later. So this will mean that there will be war between us at some point, doesn't it? You could have at least thought of a better excuse than that for war! :shake:

Africa has a Defensive Pact with USA which prevents Brazil from declaring war! WEll played! :goodjob:

Got myself in a tight corner, didn't I? Well... while we wait for the African assault, we have destroyed some oil platforms.

Brazil Navy destroyed another Aussie transport filled with workers heading for the South Pole.

Australian Nuclear Fallout Cleanup - Update

The Japanese are pleased to report our Nuclear Fallout cleanup crews have reached the Australian mainland and are just outside Cairns, on their way to Sydney to begin their honourable task, before moving onto other cities.

In other news, Japan is pleased to announce the rebuild of the mighty capital Tokyo is now complete and built a National Park in honour of the victims who died there following their own nuclear strike.

It doesn't prevent you from doing anything...:nuke:

The African Alliance now considers the nation of Brazil to be a terrorist country. Its plainly clear that we are working on an invasion, so we will publicly pronounce our plans. We are invading Brazil at the earlier opportunity, to defend the world against the use of nuclear weapons, as well as to defend and help our friends the Aussie's from Brazil's unprovoked aggression. The question is now: where will we strike and will the Brazilian's be able to defend themselves? :scan:
